Place a block under the side your loading g to prevent twisting.
One note. When your loading g your bike place a block of wood under the side your loading on. It will prevent twisting the joints. I'm going to weld a small tube I can drop with a pin to make it simpler. Over all it's well made.It will hold 500lbs no problem. I loaded my Honda CRF450R on the main ramp then loaded my Husqvarna FE450 on the ramp itself in its storage position backwards. Both bikes together are 574lbs. I drove around and had no issues.

Great Value Rack
The hardware provided may not be made of quality stainless so it might rust but it was all there. The front wheel brace was too wide to fit in the channel so I had to use a hydraulic press to reduce the width and make it fit properly. I also found that the brace needed nylon washers at the pivot points to rotate freely without wearing off the paint finish. Otherwise, this rack is adequately strong, well designed and a great value compared to its competitors. FYI - I own a BMW F650GS Dakar which weighs a little over 400 lbs.

This is one to get, built well, Load motorcycle, tie down and go
I assembled the rack on the receiver on my truck with no problems (APROX 1 hour), Everything lined up and went together with the bag of hardware that was supplied with the rack that came in to shipped boxes and packaged very well. I then loaded my Beta 500RRS on and tied down the front and rear and also the front wheel to the rack and the back wheel to the rack to keep it from moving back and forth. I took it for a bumpy ride as I live off a gravel road, then I drove to a large paved parking lot and did stoppies and figure eights in both directions. The bike stayed on and did not come loose there was very little movement from the rack, with the clamp provided for anti/ movement rattle and the use of ratchet straps it is a great set up and I wish I had purchased this a long time ago, Lots easier than taking my topper off my truck and I can load the bike by myself.( Also I can sleep in the back of my truck now instead of a tent) The rack is a little heavy( APROX 100LBS) but I install it to the receiver with the ramp off, it makes it a little lighter and easier to handle. you will not be disappointed. They say it can hold up to 600LBS but I would not feel comfortable with my Suzuki V-strom 1000XT on it. It may work but I will not try that setup. This is my two cents

BAD QUALITY OR BAD LUCK...????
I bought it in December, it arrived at a family member's house in VERMONT there it was kept until January 10 that I was able to pick it up.Only until Sunday, January 21, I arrived in CAROLINA DEL NORTE and where I tried to install it but I could NOT use it.I tried to climb my YAMAHA SUPER TENERE 1200 motorcycle that does not exceed 500 lbs the surprise that I take when the platform has bent, dropping my motorcycle and hitting the ground absurdly.I don't understand how it can withstand 600 lbs.Bad quality or bad luck...???The only thing I want is my return and to know who will bear the costs of repairing my motorcycle....????

Good for the price with fixing a couple welds
Easy to put together for the most part especially for having no instruction. It will hold at lest 550lbs. Used it twice so far on two 800 mile trips and the second trip a tie down loop weld failed. Other than that it’s not a bad motorcycle rack.
