Great Shredder for Home Use
This shredder works really well for home use. It’s not too loud, runs fast, and holds a good amount of shredded paper. The only issue I’ve had is when I try to feed in too much paper at once—especially near the end of a stack—it can jam. As long as I’m careful with that, it works great. Definitely good quality for the price.

Follow instructions
Very happy with the product. Shipping was very fast, didn’t expect it to arrive so quickly. Once I tried it, I had to follow instructions because it is a very good shredder, albeit a bit noisy, but it does the job. You can load a 100 pages and walk away. Make sure you don’t shred anything with staples, unopened letters to avoid jamming and fan out pages so the shredder to easily grab pages. Very happy with it at reasonable price.

Fun to shred.
Never knew how enjoyable shredding could be. Very happy with it.

Works well but is squeaky
It shreds nicely but if you have a lot to do, the blades squeak. I’m hoping that passes as it gets broken in. The result is a very secure confetti like shredded document. I like it other than the noise.

HP should be ashamed of itself!
First I would like to say that I own a bit of HP stock. I have always liked there printers so when I needed to buy a new shredder I thought hey lets support HP. What a mistake! This piece of junk does nothing well.1. Feeds over a hundred pages? NO jams repeatedly. Then you have to cut the pages out with a knife.2. Struggles to get through two pages starts to feed third page early then jams.3. You have to feed it one page at a time if it goes in the lest bit crooked then struggles to get through that page.4. After feeding one page at a time for 15 minutes machine over heats and you have to stop anyway. Now I want to make clear that I was only trying to get rid of old type paper work we all keep in boxes for a few years so nothing odd just normal sized paper of uniform dimensions. The paper was all pulled apart and even staples pulled out! So if you are thinking about buying a shredder for that price look somewhere else! I might think about selling some HP!

Fast, Quiet-ish and Great for High Volume
I moved last year and decided to scan all my paper files using a high speed scanner and shred them myself afterward. I’ve had shredders before but this is the best! You can put a giant stack in this thing and walk away and do other things. Once in a while, after it has been shredding for a while, you will have to shift the shreds and push them down… just like any other shredder. But this one is really high capacity. I don’t try to use liners cuz, when it’s full, a 35 gallon trash bag fits perfectly over the top and you can just turn the bin over and empty into it and the bag can be tied in a knit at the top so the shreds don’t spill out. I had at least 7 or 8 trash bags full of paper to shred and got them all done during my spare time in a week. Spend a little extra money and get this one. You won’t regret it.

HP Microcut Shredder
I bought this shredder to shred lots of old files. Don’t be in a hurry to get rid of those files you’ve been holding onto because this isn’t the shredder you will need. After about ten minutes of constant shredding it overheats and shuts off. I liked the idea of the waste bin but you better have a vacuum handy because it will leave shreds of paper in the bottom when you remove the bin to empty it. I also recommend getting some paper shredders oil. That does help keep the shredder from jamming up. This shredder is good for small jobs just not lots of shredding. It is easy to use and not very loud.
