Wagner Control Pro 150 Paint Sprayer

I had tried on multiple occasions to cobble pieces together and make a workable solution for my air compressor to spray stain on my fence. After many wasted hours and lots of stained clothes and wasted stain, I finally broke down and bought this thing. It's not the high end, but it felt like solid gold. It sprayed quickly and evenly and made short work of 50+ feet of fencing. My kids (the ones I gave all the dirtiest jobs to) love that I got this thing and now they get to skip the staining jobs because I won't let anyone else touch my Wagner!

We bought this to paint our porch and fence around the house, and this definitely saves time instead of using a paintbrush. It's easy to operate and easy to clean. My 10-year-old was so interested in this that she even learned how to use it and help paint and help clean it. It made painting so much easier and less time-consuming. We did have to buy an attachment for it for the paint and job we were doing, but it was lightweight and easy to move around in the yard to get the painting done.

The sprayer did a fine job once I figured out how to use it. The prime/spray knob seems to be less than desired. Mine fell off with the first gallon of paint I sprayed. I pressed the press nut back on and it has been fine since. The sprayer does not spray air when the paint can is empty, it just runs continuously without building pressure (I did not see this mentioned in the manual). I did have one clog in 5 gallons of paint sprayed. I did not thin the paint. Make sure the hose is connected before you prime it because paint may come out even though it is supposed to only go to the return tube.

This sprayer would not work! It sprayed for about thirty seconds and then started spewing paint out of the waste hose! I tried and tried to get it to work, I watched the tutorials, read the instructions and only accomplished wasting about 2 gallons of expensive paint! Then after getting it cleaned up, return started, label printed and sent back, the seller still hadn’t refunded my money after 2 weeks! I had to file a claim with Amazon and finally was told I’d get a refund. Amazon customer service was on point, the sellers was horrible!

Not very durable

Set up was quick and easy. Primed it as per the directions and proceeded to paint our family/media room. Painted the walls and popcorn ceiling using Behr premium paint without thinning. Clean up was quick and easy. Previously if I was painting popcorn ceiling I would rent an airless sprayer at a cost of about 1/3 of this units price. With other painting projects lined up, including a cinder block wall, this little sprayer will pay for itself very quickly. One other thing I like about this unit is if and when the time comes the sprayer pump is rebuildable, not disposable.

I used this to paint the entire house, outside. Aluminum siding. It's a small cape cod. The results are phenomenal. It was built in 1950. It was fading & discolored. Now it looks like I replaced the siding. Remarkable product. Just remember, it does make a difference in what brand of paint you use. Spend the extra $$ to get the best paint possible.
