Love this lock. I feel so much safer with this attached to my sliding patio door than just a lock! I don't have to bend up and down to put a down in the door this is so easy! Best money I've spent fir our safety!

Perfect
Our sliding door lock got broken and we did not want to spend thousands to replace it just for the lock. Installed this and it has been sturdy and perfect. It’s nice when you have kids because it’s installed at the top of the door for safety.

Works well, better then latch lock
IDK how old my sliding door is and I have to say I think they are all slightly different, so it really will take a little critical thinking to get any 3rd party thing working correctly. I opted for top corner, if it was on the bottom I'd be kicking it all the time and the screws would go into the are that the door slides in. I also didn't install the last screw, as you can see from my picture, because I didn't want to get anywhere close to my glass. I also has to put tiny washers behind the top 2 screws to angle it out just a bit because when I push the lock up it would hit the rail and not go all the way up, if you get it, and it doesn't work out of the box, don't worry you can make it work I'm sure.

Do NOT recommend!
This does not secure. False sense of security. Just applying a little pressure and the lock will release on its own.Also, CAUTION - we had it installed initially and when drilling the last screw my entire patio glass door shattered - costed me $500. I do NOT recommend this cheap (yet ended up costly) product.

Works perfect.
We needed a secondary lock for our sliding glass door due to our toddler. This was easy to install and works perfect for our application. Spring unlock by press of a button. Easy to lock. It’s out of the way and not noticeable. It does not replace a deadbolt style lock, however does work very well to keep the door closed with a toddler running around. We have had installed for several months and use it daily.
