I’m using this snake to scare mice and squirrels from around my pool equipment. It seems to be working for the squirrels. Not sure about the mice yet. It also works really well on people. Gets me every time! lol

When we moved in our new home, one of the first things I did was create a small garden for myself. I needed a super realistic looking snake that regularly preyed on small bunnies, squirrels, and mice, so I wanted a fake Rat Snake.Lemme tell you what. I was sitting on my back porch when I saw that bunny basically fly out of my yard. Simon has terrified everyone who stumbles upon him. We had a tornado 5 months into our new house, and I heard ALL the roofers yell. The guy who cuts my grass almost had a heart attack. The bug spraying service people all jump back and then inform me I have a snake in my garden. I even forgot to warn a bunch of 8 and 9 year olds for my daughter's bday party and Simon scared everyone, and that was definitely an event having a dozen 8 year old girls absolutely freak.Ultimately. Simon may get a brother, Seth. He's been such a good garden guardian that I'm putting more raised beds in on the other side of the yard and those will also need a protector.Buy him if you have a bunny plague in your garden. He will help.

I ordered this for a joke, to scare someone when they discovered it hidden under a sheet. It works perfectly for that purpose. Once you look at it a bit longer or move it, it's obviously rubber, but it looks real enough for a gag and it's the right price for this use. Deducting one star because it's definitely smaller than it appears in the photos.

The snake is pretty decent but smaller than expected and pretty clearly rubber - not super realistic. Also it does not sit on a flat surface in a good way to see that it is a snake. Not terrible, but for the cost,I think you can find something better.

Solved a problem for me. Birds were making a mess on my front entry so I put this on top of the hanging lamp they were trying to nest on and hadn’t had to clean anything up again.

Perfect prank snake. Placed strategically you can’t tell it isn’t real. Used to prank coworkers that always scare me with mice, I work in a chicken egg hatchery so mice and snakes are always something we watch for. It did exactly what I needed. Very realistic, even the size of a real snake. Tried looking multiple places for fake snakes but ended up paying twice the price for a snake that wouldn’t fool many.

Wrong thing ever it looses the color almost instantly is small to rigid just don’t buy it

I ordered this snake because we have swifts that nest this time of year in the corners of our porch. I like the bird, but I hate the mess. They truly make a huge mess and very hard to clean. I thought if the snake were up near them it would scare them off and it worked! We have columns on the porch and the way the snake is coiled it looked like the snake was climbing up the column to get 'em! Very realistic. Delivery was great, quality seems ok and I'll use this technique if they come back again.
