Best iron I've ever had. EVER!
This iron is fantastic, I've had a LOT of steam generators over the years but the steam power of this one is incredible, creases literally melt away with little effort. I love that there is no temperature control because my teenagers and 'useless at ironing' husband can relax knowing they won't burn anything. It feels very high quality, is easy to fill and is actually quite light and compact. The cord storage and lock work brilliantly. Only tiny issue is that the power button is right where you hold when ironing and it occasionally switches off when you are ironing due to pressure put on it but you honestly notice right away and just press it back on. I've long coveted a polti and I'm not disappointed. It was a great deal so I'm really happy with the value for money.

easy to use
Brilliant iron, nice weight. A little noisy BUT it does say in the book that the tapping is the pump working I hardly notice it now. There is a little white film come out of the iron when you first start it up THIS is stated in the book all you need to do is use a cloth to start with not the garment then it works fine. I love it, wiz through the ironing in no time. This iron is the weight of a professional steamer great no having to press down on the clothes the iron does it all.

Game Changer
This Steam Iron is a game changer makes the whole experience of ironing perfect and easy. Power it on and takes about one minute to power up but then it's ready to go - powerful steam and heat perfect to get things done quickly and it adjusts to the fabric you are ironing. Although I only Iron things as I go normally just love how easy this is to use. irt deserves good reviews I rarely normally leave them. I bought whilst on offer @ £109 so thinking I got a very good deal. Would Recommend.

Noisy
It's really noisy, makes a weird clicking/knocking noise. I sent a video to Polti and they said it was normal! I've had other steam generator irons and they've not been that noisy. It also came with a UK adaptor on a European plug, not great for storing. Time will tell if the Polti price is worth it. Hopefully it lasts!

Love it and makes a chore a pleasure.
I bought this Polti after being really disappointed with a Tefal. This iron is absolutely brilliant and whizzes through my ironing. I iron sheets, duvets and pillowcases on top of the normal family clothing and this automated system of not having to turn dials for different clothing materials makes things so simple. It is beyond simple to use and extremely functional. Thoroughly recommend it.

Make sure you order a heatproof suit at the same time!
In about 15 years of buying from Amazon, I've only ever sent one thing back, this will be the second.Reasons: -1. There's no temperature control. There is according to the manual, but trust me there isn't one on this model. So forget ironing delicates or thin tops if you want to keep them.2. There's no temperature control. I know I've already mentioned that, but that's how big a mistake it is to not have a means of controlling the heat output. That's like making a car with an On/Off switch instead of an accelerator pedal and brakes.3. The instruction manual is hopeless, you may as well throw it in the bin. It doesn't describe how you're actually meant to use the iron. There are 4 icons on the side of the iron itself. They aren't even mentioned in the manual? There's 4 controls on the top of the Iron itself, but again there's no indication in the manual what they actually do. One of these is a 'Spanner' button, you press it repeatedly but nothing happens, why can't they explain this in the manual?4. Returning the Iron to it's base plate is ludicrously difficult. You have to have it located in exactly the right place or it simply falls to the floor. When you're ironing, you're constantly returning the iron to the base plate. With this one you have to fiddle about with it to get it to sit properly. There's also a little lock switch at the top of the iron that locks it into the base, this just gets in the way and makes it even harder to return the iron to the base plate.5. There's an ECO mode that basically does absolutely nothing. If you start ironing in this mode you get fed up very quickly as it doesn't output any steam whatsoever. When you switch it off, the accumulated steam and boiling hot water pump out of the base of the iron uncontrollably, it really is quite frightening. You end up with water all over the Ironing board, the floor, everywhere!6. When ironing in what I guessed to be the steam mode (ECO button off) as soon as you press the trigger under the iron to generate steam, the base start vibrating and makes a noise like a machine gun (Seriously) I've seen the same thing mentioned in other reviews. It would drive you mad after a few minutes of ironing. And when you do press the button for steam, absolutely nothing happens (Apart from the machine gun noise), then as you return the iron to the base it finally realises you want steam and blasts out a white plume of steam that would take your wallpaper off from 20 feet. It's like there's a delay of 4 or 5 seconds before it can generate the steam. Please don't buy this product, go for something a little bit more expensive, you'll thank me later!
