Excellent fruit cake. Stays moist, a bit better than Claxton’s. I order them several at a time.

Orange peel is the second ingredient and you can taste the peel. There are plenty of nuts and that’s good but the fruit has a rubbery consistency. Not the best but not the worse either.

This cake is so good. My sister bought two. I have one of the cakes. I have a piece everyday. I love a piece with a cup of tea. So moist. The fruit and nuts are fresh. We both said this is the best fruit cake we ever ate. And we have eaten fruitcake many years. I always love fruitcake. People make jokes about fruit cake but I always loved it. Not this cake it's so good. Very dense the way fruit cake should be. Appearance is so beautiful all the colors of the fruit. Only $12 for a 1 lb cake good deal. After I finish this cake I'm buying another for the holidays to come.

I bought this fruit cake for my husband and I didn't expect to like it much. Oh my! I'm blown away by how delicious and fresh the ingredients are. It has a rich but not heavy old world tasting base in between the colorful fruits. My taste buds have changed and I love it. This is my new, oh so good sweet, but not too sweet, treat. Forget birthday cake. I want this fruit cake and a glass of champagne. I'm going to buy another one, maybe even two. Do yourself a favor and get this fruit cake. Flavorful and quality ingredients. It's a win, win.

Don't get me wrong, this fruit cake is good and I enjoyed every bite, but I was expecting it to taste like an authentic caribbean fruit cake. it's not that. The dried fruit is packed in so tightly that there is very little cake. Actually, it's hard to find cake in this recipe. Now I like dried fruit (and this recipe has loads) but for me, I like a good combination of cake and fruit. This has too much dried sweetened fruit that it should be called a Dried Fruit Roll. And boy is it sweet. Be ready for a burst of a high glycemic count. A small slice is all you need. So, all in all I give them 3 stars for the taste (it's very good) and lack of cake. It's not that authentic. It probably went the way of Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies and lost it's original recipe when the company was taken over. Oh, and by the way, a few more nuts in the recipe would be nice.
