Love this new opener
My husband bought this garage door opener because our last one stopped working. He was able to swap them out very easily. The quality is great. It seems very durable. The open and close button sometimes has to be pushed twice I don't know where the connectivity problem is, but it's not a big deal at all it doesn't really affect the fact that it opens smoothly. Bright lights, perfect fit. It looks nice and is pretty quiet.

I LOVE this and I chose it over the 4K+ reviews for the Genie.
Honestly, I am beyond thrilled with this opener. I was able to find an HONEST person to install it that did not want to overcharge me to tighten the springs, tell me they needed replacing, (they are only 9 months old) or tell me I needed a 'tune-up' Keep quiet and listen to your installer. This way you can weed out the ones trying to rip you off.The opener is QUIET. I transitioned from a louder chain driven opener. I love that I have more options, and they work too. Dogs never bark at the opener anymore. It's too quiet I suppose so they don't notice it. Because they no longer bark, I am no longer yelling at them to stop barking. The house is definitely more peaceful. The keypad does not have the same issue when hitting the * or # key that you have to reprogram it like their click2 version does. I love that this has a battery backup for when the summer storms are here and we get power outages. I wish Chamberlain had added Alexa to this, but there are workarounds you can find online if you need this to work with Alexa. If there are any issues with this, I will update. For some reason, installers like to install Chamberlain over Genie from what they have said.I ordered the version that uses the DC motor, has the battery back up, and 1 overhead light. The other version in this listing uses an AC motor and does NOT have the battery back up and has 2 overhead lights. Both systems are belt driven. DC motors use less energy so I suppose that is the reason it can even have a battery backup. The battery can by replaced easily when needed and it's only $30, sold BY Amazon, compared to $100 if you were considering Genie's GDO with their battery backup. The maintenance is much less here with the Chamberlain. After having this installed a few weeks ago, I really do not have a desire to have this connected to Alexa. I have a standard 2 car garage with 1 very heavy metal Clopay door. Works great! I had zero issues connecting this to my wifi and iphone. I get notifications every time it opens/closes and I have used the app to close the door instead of bothering my neighbors to check for me if I forgot. Lifesaver. When the summer storms roll around and the power goes out, I will not be left sitting in my car locked in or out of the house. My garage is the only door we use to enter and exit. The front door is only used to get Amazon deliveries off the porch.

Easy to install, silent operation
Easy to install, silent operation. The only difficult part was making sure the train aligned with the previous installation because I did not want to make new holes in the garage door, and having the need of another person to help put it in place. I did the rest alone and did not require to do any redos. I recommend following the steps as in the video instructions and to have that second person to help raising the long train to put the opener in place and adjust the height of the ceiling harness as needed. I am still adjusting to the silent operation, as my previous door opener was a very noisy chain mechanism.

Quiet and smooth but MyQ isn't reliable
This unit is extremely smooth and quiet on my single garage door, even though it's a heavy wooden one with siding to match the house. I have one on a double door as well, and although the door is balanced, the inertia of it and less even balancing make it less impressively smooth although still quiet. The motion detection turns the light on when you walk in the garage. I found it more annoying than useful, so turned the feature off.MyQ is a nice concept, but don't throw away the transmitter that comes with it. MyQ just fails connecting somewhat regularly although a minority of the time. When it does, not only does the geofencing not work, the phone app and car app also fail to work. So keep the transmitter in the car for when it happens. It will. This unit a good value overall even with the disappointing reliability of MyQ. Frankly, I find pretty much all digital and wireless products to be similarly frustrating and disappointing, but many people seem to take it in stride better.Installation was challenging with a high garage ceiling. The only way to gracefully wire the safety sensors with the wire length provided was to feed wire through the post connecting the head to the door header. You will find no instructions or specific accommodations for doing that, so it worked well, but took a lot more time and trouble to do so. I have storage above the door, so even routing a longer wire would have been a poject. The current Chamberlain openers do not accommodate a second wired button to operate the opener from a second location in the garage. An in between generation moved to requiring a button with electronics in it, but now only a wireless remote with batteries can be added.

Easy To Install
Garage Door Opener went together as described on the video. There is NO instruction manual in the box so if you don't have internet where your garage is you may be out of luck with assembly instructions. Fortunately my wifi reached the remote garage and I could follow along with the instructions. I did everything myself except connecting the end that attaches directly above the door. My wife stood on a ladder and made the connection fairly easily while I held up the motor end of the opener. Then I connected the angle iron hangers to the angle iron on the 2x4 rafters. It was not that difficult and we are very pleased with the operation of the opener.
