Q: Will I be able to mount my badlands Apex 12k winch? I'm talking about the new waterproof style

The Apex 12k does not fit in this mount, at least not with the stock fasteners. The mount depth is too short, and doesn't provide enough clearance for the hardware to mount the handles, or the hawse fairlead. Product images seem to show that there's a depth of 6.69" from bolt to bolt for the handles, but on the product I received, that's actually from plate to plate. The bolt to bolt distance is over an inch less causing contact with the end covers, and prevents the winch from lining up with the mounting pattern on the base plate.

Yes , it’s a great product, heavy duty

Yes it will. Over the last 50 years I've had lot's of winch mounts and this is one of the nicer ones. It's very well made and has a real nice finish.

Q: Can I use this mount to mount my winch on the front of my car trailer?

It needs a receiver mounted and a 12 V electrical source is all it needs .
