Great For Kitchen Countertops
As a Christmas present for my wife I offered to apply epoxy countertops. She was doubtful but likes the garage floor I applied. The reviews are all over the place for this product but this review is for countertops over formica. This brown marble exotic pour is a thick 5 oz per square ft followed by a 3 oz per square ft clear coat with this Epoxy store Clear resin. The final finish is over 1/4 inch deep and is flawless. When you watch YouTube videos be warned you can pour a counter in 10 0r 15 minutes but it will take you many hours to prep the surface, in my case 12-16 hours to sand and prime 40 sq ft. You will only have one chance to get it right and it is an art but if I can succeed anyone can.First clean, clean, and sand and then sand again. one grease spot will leave uncovered fish eyes. Use correct fillers, sealers and primers. When mixing for showroom countertops mix the epoxy well. I used a drill attachment for 3 minutes and then poured mixed epoxy into separate color cups and mixed each cup. I then poured the mixed cups into a separate container to ensure material was completely mixed. I poured out in separate batches of 8 square feet and helped the epoxy flow with a heat gun, torch, and hair dryer to obtain the brown marble effects and had almost an hour working time at 70 degrees. After 24 hours I poured anther 1/8 in clear coat and was happy with result. No soft spots no fish eyes no problems. I prepped correctly and cleanup was a breeze. Saved thousands doing this for the holidays... Merry Christmas!

Crystal Clear
Very low viscosity while pouring (which is a good thing, as it gets into every crack and bubbles float right out) and hardens crystal clear.I've had zero problems with this epoxy.

Great resin, great price
I accidentally got the table top/thin coat resin. I meant to get the type to do molds. So I've had to find projects to use this on, a stool, top of a cedar chest, random things. It starts curing quickly which I like, some people don't. it's very high gloss, gets a few bubbles but they come out easy with a torch. I happy with this epoxy. Next time I'll get the casting resin from them.

Overall quite good. Long shelf life and expensive
I'm revising my review after a year. The manufacture instruction is very precise. I have done two projects with this brand of resin. I stayed under 1/2" and they both went very well. It does not heat up as the other brand (SuperClear) and doesn't shrink as much. So relatively easy to use. The epoxy appeared to cure clear and hard according to the manufacture's timeline: 45 min--1 hr to gel up, 12 hours to harden, and 1 week to fully cure. After about a week, the surface seemed pretty hard and was able to sand to 2000 grit and then take a fine mirror polish.Shelf life is also pretty good. I had two half bottles left from the first project, stored them indoor and waited a year before the second project. It still worked very well. I made a small test sample to check before hand. The downside to this resin is, similar to SuperClear, it is not very heat resistant. I had sat a laptop on top of surface, after about a few hours of working on my computer, the bumps at the bottom of my laptop made several clear indentations on the table top. It appeared that the heat from the laptop was enough to soften the epoxy and leave an imprint. Also under direct sunlight, a lot of micro bubbles became visible. Bottom line--this epoxy is quite good and inexpensive compared to other brands.

No problems hassle free
I've used this resin a few times now and it's great. I've had a couple problems with it not hardening but thats my fault for trying to cut corners by thinking I can eyeball the correct amounts to mix and or not mixing long enough. When done properly it works great and looks amazing when used to coat table tops or making resin art. It cures hard and glossy I highly recommend it.

Don't Drink enough to need a bar table
Actually that is probably not true about the drinking part but I really don't need a bar table. But wait! you can use this for sooo much more!I am a wood worker and use Resin for filling Gaps in turnings and did make one of those river tables once. I usually go with whatever is on sale and they work fine. I will however look to buy this brand again. It seems to mix better than the other brands I have used and is thinner and stays open longer. These things are very helpful to me as it flows into the minute cracks well. The thinner viscosity and the longer set time allows the bubble to dissipate much better than the others I have used. The fact that is stays open longer does not seem to translate to drying time and it is rock hard within 24 hr and ready for turning on the lathe. (this is in a cold basement that can be 60 degrees or below) I have had others take twice that long and one brand that would chip when I turned it. These things all could have been a result of my error or perhaps the drinking but I will buy this brand again. It should be noted that when it arrived it looked like a bear had gotten a hold of the package (UPS) but the bottles were taped shut and inside a plastic bag so there was no leaking.

Just dont risk it, just buy epoxy somewhere else
I looked through the reviews and I felt like this was a good bet and to be honest it probably is. However my experience was terrible. I used this epoxy on a project and it ended up costing me hundreds of dollars! I followed all the instructions. I weighed each part, I mixed it, moved it to another container and mixed again. (This isn't my first time using epoxy.) I poured it and let it dry, but it didn't cure right! My first thought was that I did something wrong, so I tried to pour over it to see if I could cover the tacky areas. Well I ended up doing 5 coats and none of those coats set up right it stayed tacky! I was mind blown and really annoyed that it DID NOT WORK AT ALL!! I ended up having to trash my entire project that I had spent weeks working on. Then I requested a refund and the seller never responded. I tried again and the seller ended the conversation without addressing my request what so ever. Just dont risk it, just buy epoxy somewhere else. In all this product cost me around $350 worth of damage and about 60 hours worth of work. It isn't worth it.
