Does the ba2800 56v 2.5ah battery replace the ba1400 56v 2.5ah battery? what is the difference and will the ba1400 charger work with it ? thank you!

Just gives you a longer run time. All EGO chargers and batteries are interchangeable.

How can i ensure ego products purchased on amazon are covered by ego’s warranty?

Unfortunately, you can't until you receive the battery. About all you can do is contact the seller and negotiate, or return the battery Best bet is to buy from a known authorized seller...Ace Hardware and Lowes Personally, I won't buy EGO products through Amazon any more

Lately, the battery, while in use, shows green bars and suddenly all flash red, and mower stops, is it a problem w/ battery memory?

could be....the flashing red without a preliminary orange/yellow warning probably indicates a bad battery incapable of holding a full charge....you might contact the seller or the company.....
