It is a beautiful bronze looking statue. I love it.

Beautiful statue
This is a beautiful little statue. It is a decent weight and it has a bronze finish. It's very detailed and doesn't look cheap at all. It comes boxed with a prayer card. I have had my house up for sale for a while and I was starting to get nervous because I hadn't had any offers yet and we need to move soon. I am catholic but I'd never heard of the St. Joseph prayer or statue to help with selling a home until my mom told me about it yesterday morning. She insisted I buy one and bury it upsidedown in my yard, but that felt a little disrespectful and superstitious to me. I ordered it planning to just display it in my home and say a little prayer to sell soon. I also learned that St. Joseph is the patron saint of construction workers and fathers, so it would be nice to have this in my home for my husband who I pray for all the time because he works construction and travels long distances. Well, this was delivered on my porch this morning (love that next day shipping!) and I received an offer for the amount we wanted before I even had a chance to bring it in the house. Maybe a coincidence, but thank God! St. Joseph is on display right up on my mantel and will be in a place of honor in our new home as well. I will ask him to pray for my husband, who works so hard to keep us in a nice home and to provide us with everything we need, as St. Joseph did for Mary and Jesus.

Beautiful statue
I don't want to sell my house but I did want a small statue of St Joseph. All the small statues look like cheap plastic or a cheap plastic statue a child painted. This is heavy, looks and feels like real bronze. It's really beautiful.

Help to sell a house
Small enough to easly bury, even when the ground is frozen. Liked the fact that it was made of bronze and can easily be reused or placed on display afterwards.

I actually really like the statue
I actually really like the statue, however it has done absolutely nothing to help sell my house. Thinking about digging him up this weekend and just putting him on our window sill.

St. Joseph statue -- we don't worship saints, but we love our older siblings in the LORD and ask for their prayers
This statue is more substantial than a plastic one. My kids like it. Why bury it? That sounds like superstition, which is against the first commandment. We kept it in our house and sold and closed in record time. Just ask for St. Joseph's prayers and use this a sign of devotion a visual aid, if you will, in prayer. By the way, Catholics don't worship statues, or even the real saints themselves. St. Joseph is a highly exalted saint in heaven especially close to Jesus. The saints in heaven can pray for us, so we simply ask them to plead to God on our behalf, to pray with us and for us. St. Joseph's prayers are especially powerful since He was Jesus' adopted father on earth. Ask for his intercession. If our fellow Christians can pray for us on earth, how much more powerful are the prayers of our Christian brothers and sisters who are already perfected in Heaven. "...her husband Joseph, being a righteous man..." (Matthew 1:19). "The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects" (James 5:16).

Doesn’t work, but at least you have company
I couldn’t bury him, that’s just inhumane, so I guess it’s a requirement for success to follow the directions. Still, it’s been nice having company stuck alone in my unsold house, and my conscience is clear having not committed any felonies on a saint.

It works!!!!!
I used it exactly what it was for. It sat in my kitchen for a few days before I said the prayer that went along with it. Our house has been on the market since May. I buried it on September 8thish. Our house was under contract with people who love it 8 days later on the 16th!!! It says take him out and place him in the light after everything is said in done. He overlooks the dining room in my new place which I love very much! Be humble and believe in something greater than yourself!
