Purchased this item to replace the weatherstripping on an attic door insulation cover. Very easy to cut and install and so far they have worked perfectly. The edging secures right into the insulation foam and hasn’t fallen out yet. Creates a great seal .

This was perfect to place around our new exterior french doors. Very easy to install by pushing around the trim. One roll fit perfectly around my 72 inch x 80 inch french doors. They seal the gap around the doors so no more winter draft. The soft foam doesn't mar up the doors either, easy to wipe clean.

This stuff did the trick. A bit harder to install than I expected, but still pretty easy. I have NO EXPERIENCE in handy work like this.(The only thing I knew about the installation was from the stuff I pulled out…and youtube). Don't push in with the blade end of a putty knife…it will damage it. But the blunt handle of the putty knife was perfect to push it in. If you are in OK health (I'm not…takes effort for me to go up and down a step stool, and and get up and down off the floor), it will probably take you 15 min to seal a door. Resealing will take longer, since you need to take out the old stuff and may need to remove adhesive.A friend recommended this type of product. I found on line, ordered it, and it arrived exactly 6 days later. No installation instructions, but they probably figure anyone ordering this knows what they are doing.No adhesive, so I didn't rate that category.If I was in better health, I would have given 5 stars for ease of instruction.Looking forward to replacing the seal on two more doors. I can do this! Thank you!

Products work fine, but I had to pull it back out because part of it wouldn't seat properly and it ended up tearing a chunk off. It will also tear if you attempt to hammer it in, so just be aware. If everything goes into the kerf on the first try, then there should be no issues.

IF you have a double entry or multiple doors to re-seal I think this a better deal. You'll have the longer lengths to seal an arch without cuts/gaps and it feels more stout and holds tighter than the others. I also like that you can do a few repairs and still have a full length of weather-strip to use and not piece offcuts together. I will be keeping it handy as I have a handful of doors that I'm re-hanging and want to restore the seals at the same time.Only con I can find is storing in a coil can make it a little fussy to work with at a door, especially with a full 26 feet. I just tossed it in the dryer for 5-10 minutes on low and it was easy to straighten. Do that smartly and at your own risk.

When our original door sealing material got weak, we went to a big box store and got the only thing they had on the shelf which was white and nearly transparent. It did nothing. When this arrived several days after ordering it the seal was perfect. This kind of seal has to have the foam insert in it so it works well. That was the major difference between this seal and the one we first purchased locally.
