Laoganma Preserved Fermented Black Beans Chilli Oil 280g (Pack of 2)

My brother in law, introduced me to this. Forgot your 97p black bean sauce packets, this is so lovely. Fermented black beans with just the right amount of chilli oil, make stir fry scrummy.I'm trying to replicate steamed chicken with garlic and black bean sauce a la how it tastes in a good Chinese restaurant. Hopefully this will do the trick.

This was my second purchase of these as they’re so good. I use in ramen to add some heat and extra flavour. A little goes a long way so I recommend using sparingly at first and adjust to your preferred taste. Keep for ages in the fridge. A cupboard staple

An excellent choice for adding complexity to your cooking. The preserved soybeans are delightfully umami, the soy oil is very rich and spiced, the chilli crisp is mildly hot. Delicious over simple eggs or rice, or added to sauces for deepening flavour.

Brilliant, tasty condiment, excellent with rice.

I absolutely love this stuff. It goes great in lots of things - I predominantly use it on rice (either plain, stir fried, steamed) and veg. It’s not too spicy (although I tend to put quite a lot on as I like the chilli kick), and the fermented black beans give a delicious salty umami, without the ‘funk’ of some other fermented condiments. Always got a couple of jars of this in the cupboard

My favourite condiment. Spicy but not excessively hot, funky in a good fermented way. Good with rice, noodles, eggs etc
