So, I got this cute case for my new Microsoft Surface Go 2 also to match the case I got for my Kindle. After sliding the surface into place I was confused as to why the elastic straps didn't fit over the sides. By just leaving it this way the tablet would always come out of place and almost fall out onto the floor. If I hadn't gone back online to look at the placement pictures again, it was about to get sent back. For those who say that the case does not fit it is because you are using it incorrectly. Once I noticed that the original kickstand on the computer goes into the elastic straps, that made all the difference. Also the type keyboard does fit with this case, I just recommend taking it off to get the kickstand in place first and then just reconnect the keyboard. No more sliding out of place and also the case actually works more effectively with its included kickstand. I also like the fact that I can comfortably use my surface on my lap by using this case , it's not falling over or anything. Again, if you are having problems with the case not holding your device in place it is because you need to open the kickstand on your computer once you have slipped the device into the case. Then slip the elastic straps over the kickstand and it will fix the problem. Just remember that the kickstand will need to be folding back in once you get ready to close the case so it can be flat again. I knocked off one star for there not being clear instructions of product placement. It does seem very protective and thick but since only having for a few hours I can not speak to durability.

Some reviewers complain that the case doesn't fit properly, covers up the ports, doesn't close, has a weird bit of case extending past the keyboard when in use, etc. I had NONE of these problems and find the case fits my new Surface Go perfectly. I did have to finagle a bit to get the straps over the kickstand (hint--open up the kickstand as far as it will go, secure the straps, then fit the Go into the top part of the case). The case closes perfectly with the keyboard attached (and I even slipped a small, thin mousepad in between the keyboard and the case as well), and when opened with the kickstand activated, the keyboard reaches perfectly to the end of the case, with no extra weird case edge sticking out. I am guessing perhaps others didn't fit the Go into the case quite right and so there were issues. I find the fit is ideal. The case itself is a little heavier than I had hoped, but the plus side is that it feels really secure and sturdy and I feel my Go will be well-protected in my carry-on bag for my upcoming trip. Super happy with this very affordable purchase. And the rose gold color is both feminine and sharp. Love it!

I use a surface go tablet for my job, and am constantly on the go. I needed something that would protect it throughout my day while being functional and stylish. This does just that. My only thing is that the magnetic strip causes the screen turn off if it isnt kept in the exact right position when using it. I often am doing notes in the car between clients, so that does get annoying. Other than that I love it and recommend it!

I do like this case. It’s cute and such, but your surface (go 2) will start to slip out of it at certain points. Mine has not fallen out completely, but it does scare me. Also, I did not see anything that said it fits with the type cover, but in case you were wondering, it really doesn’t. I mean it will go around the type cover, but it does not click back into place like it would without it. So I usually just carry my type cover separately. Otherwise, it is a pretty decent case. This case is more for appearance than it is for durability. I recommend another case that actually clicks onto the surface rather than just sliding in.
