Yummy
These little cookies (biscuits) are wonderful!I’m always a little concerned about the lack of padding in the package and would encourage at least a little to avoid breakage of the cookies.

I blame Vir Das! That's right, j'accuse!
Okay, the headline is a bit dramatic, but daggone it, I'm addicted to these tea biscuits, and I never would have even known about them if it weren't for Vir Das. This is how it happened:I like watching standup comedy on streaming TV, and streaming TV has figured this out. Every time I turn the thing on, there's a whole procession of standup shows available for my viewing pleasure. I'll sit on my bed, playing a game on my phone, petting a cat, having a laugh, and just generally thinking. Sometimes, I'll even fall asleep. Which is what happened to me one evening. I was sitting in bed, petting one of my many cats, when I heard a man with a charming Indian accent announce (I'm paraphrasing here):"Here in India, we have the best biscuits in the world. They are called Parle G, and they are the best biscuits in the world!"Well, my Southern self sat bolt upright in the bed, scaring the daylights out of at least three cats. I was ready to throw down over this declaration that biscuits from anywhere other than the American South could be the best in the world. Also, for the record, my late paternal grandmother made the best biscuits in the South. For about five seconds there, I was as hot-blooded as ever a Southerner could be.Then my mother's side of the family, from England and South Africa, spoke words of reason to me: "Bucky, don't get your knickers in a twist. He's talking about cookies. Remember all the Enid Blyton you read as a child, all the episodes of Keeping Up Appearances? Folks from the UK and the Commonwealth call cookies biscuits. Calm down, let's not send the man a sternly worded letter defending the honor of the south's favorite quick bread. Hear him out, you might learn a thing or two."So I sat back and listened to a ten minute oration extolling the wonders of Parle G biscuits. He was very funny, but I had a feeling he also meant every word. I was intrigued. I hate coffee, so I start off every morning with a mug of tea. Or a Diet Coke in the summer when it's real hot. I wondered if Parle G might be just the thing for me to enjoy with my morning tea.Reader, they were, and still are. I am now incapable of enjoying a hot mug of tea without these delightful little cookies to dip into my cup of Assam, Earl Grey, or Lipton. Be aware, these have to be dunked quickly and then eaten straight away, because they absorb the tea quickly, and then fall apart. There's an art to dunking these cookies and then getting them into your mouth without winding up wearing them. I haven't quite mastered it, but I've put on some weight trying to. I've had to buy new shirts and pants, but I don't care. The Parle G biscuits have me firmly in their tasty grip. And it's all Vir Das' fault. Maybe someday I'll get my revenge by introducing him to our world-renowned Southern cuisine...

These taste very good, almost like a cross between a nilla wafer and animal crackers. They arrived fresh and unbroken.
