Q: Does this product reduce the steering effort noticeably?

No I don't think that's its intention I do have some experience in the automotive industry I worked on it for 45 years I don't believe that synthetic power steering fluid changes steering effort it's a superior lubricant that retains viscosity when it's cold or hot and has longer lubrication life then traditional crude base stock oils

Q: Im looking to run this fluid in my 01 silverado power steering system.....any comments?..... Thank You.

I am currently running it in my 95 f250 powerstroke after I did a hydroboost conversion. It has performed great so far.
