These are dried great northern beans.
My local grocer does not carry dried Great Northerns anymore so I got these. They are a dried bean. When I soaked them, they did not produce many skins, nor did boiling them. They baked out into amazing baked beans

Fast delivery. Great product. Carmella beans are the best quality dried bean I have ever tasted. Very popular in Nola. Recently moved to an area that is clueless about this brand. So glad I found them on amazon. And the 2lb bag makes it a most economical purchase.

Beautiful beans in the photo, not in my bag
Look at the lovely white Camellia Brand Dried Great Northern Beans and see how smooth they appear, uniformly colored and shaped examples which are so enticing. The bag I received contains wrinkled beans that look like they've been picked out of the bin, demonstrative of what not to sell to consumers. Some are very brown and shriveled, very few are smooth. I won't be cooking these beans but think I will use them as fillers for par-baking pie crusts. Maybe the kids can use some for art projects. I would have NEVER purchased this bag of beans had I seen it first.
