Important reviews on here helped my purchase. The key one explaining that either side locks independently. It is not possible to lock/unlock both sides from either the key or thumbturn. I found the quality to be good. Fitting was simple. Great product.

Good for the price
This was pretty easy to install and only took a few minutes using the included instructions. The fit and finish of the product is OK. It's sturdy, but came with a lot of manufacturing marks and scratches, and a coating of oil which will need to be cleaned off before installation.The mounting method seems a little flimsy at first, however, when properly installed, it stays put and even if you did manage to move it around it would still prevent the doors from opening. The lock is also reasonably robust with a dimple pin style, which is better than the wafer lock I was expecting. It's certainly a far cry from being "high security" though.A word of warning on this style of lock - as nothing can pass through the glass, the latch and the keyed lock part activate separately, so if the door is locked from the outside, anyone inside will be unable to exit the room, even if they have the key. Vice versa, if someone inside locks the door using the latch it cannot be opened using the key. This may not be suitable for your door due to fire risk so please think carefully before purchasing!

It’s designed for 10mm glass and it fits well. The mechanism to hold is well engineered.

Added security from kids hands.
Bought for my cabinet because I didn't feel comfortable drilling through a display unit with glass. This works perfectly. Only problem I had which was my own fault was that the padding is perfect for glass and I miss measured the space. I, however removed the padding as it gave me a few extra mm and it now fits snuggly.
