CURT 13243 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver, Fits Select Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Product arrived undamaged in a large cardboard box, with all required hardware. Instructions were straightforward, and complete. Installation took a couple of hours for one person but am so happy with the fit and cost savings. Toughest part was trying to figure out the best way to trim the body panels. Land Rover dealer wanted $2,800 to do install. Am awaiting arrival of trailer hitch wiring harness which is plug and play on the Range Rover. Very well made product!

Perfect fit, Very easy to install minus the critical cutting of the range rover bottom plastic piece. Take your time following the direction for the cut and maybe even watch the video on Youtube about making the cut. I followed direction to a T and it came out snug and tight and looks as if it came from the dealer. Great purchase. (Use the rounded contoured edges on top and bottom then don't cut "wider" than 6 and a half inches)

I purchased this for my 2014 Range Rover Sport HSE. I am somewhat handy and know my way around a car, I had the proper tools as indicted in the instructions.I put the Range Rover in high suspension mode and was able to do this from the floor without too much difficulty. Install took less than an hour.Very impressed with the quality and fit up.

Very easy to install, great direction and works great. I pulled a two axle cargo trailer with a 71 Mustang on top of it and it was very easy to do. I would highly recommend this hitch!!!

1st I received two tow hitches and both didn’t come in a box and received damaged scratched scuffed and protected coating removed so it’s not protected .... and that amazon fault for shipping item out of a box !!!!!! But about the product it fits well my advice is don’t tighten down any bolts till u have them all in start with the one on the bumper then do the others turn them in my hand just a little keep them loose so u could align it then bolt them down to specs

Curt states Amazon fulfillment is responsible for all three of my orders showing up damaged, missing parts, chipped paint and damaged/open boxes. Curt does not own an Amazon storefront, they do not sell directly to the public. Last order showed up bent (meaning heavy fall), missing hardware and with shipping tags on unit; not in a box. Will end up buying from a local vendor, per Curt’s advice.Units do appear to be built using thick steel, not sure about hardware since all 3 came missing it and no instructions. Welds look strong also. Paint seems thick also.

The dealer quoted 1,600 (without electronics) and excluding installation, for whatever hitch they consider OEM or Land Rover approved. Since I had to carry only two bikes I refused to drop 2k. I called a couple of shops to have it installed but since the estimates were so off, both in $ and time to perform the installation, I decided to do it myself. It literally took less than 10 minutes to bolt it up. It took me more to go buy a torque wrench! It fits perfectly. One of my buddies had to pull the arm of the hitch cause the hole was not perfectly aligned (See second pic) but other than that it was as easy as advertised. I ended up cutting the plastic with a heavy duty cutter...another 10 minutes. The measurements were perfect. Mine was mounted on a 2017 RR sport V8 with full size spare. Highly recommended.To torque it to 79 ft-lb and 180 ft-lb you definitely need a heavy duty torque wrench.
