Q: What kind of concrete mix should i use? i am using currently fast-setting concrete mix by quikrete. this has a lot of stones. is this fine?

Preferably Quikrete mixed concrete. The pavers in the photos used 80lb 5000psi high strength concrete mix. The key is to make sure the concrete is mixed correctly and flows into the mold with ease. The cement in the concrete mix is what gives the paver a smooth finish, that’s why it’s important to vibrate the air pockets out.

Q: how much cement is needed for making pavers from both molds?

Approximately 15 lbs of cement mix would fill both molds to the brim

Yes, this product is shipped with both molds

Q: how much water should I add? Also, sometimes the design comes perfectly and sometimes it chips off. After dried for 5days, some cement falls out, why?

The amount of water would all be based on visual results. You want the concrete to be in the texture of “mashed potato’s”. Where it is malleable, but not too slurry. As far as the chipping, you may want to either add Portland cement to the mix, use a stronger mix, or lightly coat the mold in oil or nonstick agent for the release to be less stressful on the corners. Hopefully that helps!
