I love this helmet!
This is a quality item, extremely light, designed to fit securely and comfortably on a growing baby's head, and actually cute. My 8 month-old has been wearing it for nearly 1 month and it has already prevented multiple bumps and a couple of more serious injuries. I had reservations about purchasing it due to it's price and reviews regarding baby's head sweating while wearing it. Granted, my baby's head is sweaty after about 30 minutes of wearing the helmet while actively moving around (even though the helmet IS ventilated). However, I prefer to monitor the length of time she wears it (so she won't overheat), than to expose her to bumps and potentially serious injuries, especially on very hard tile floors in our home. I also wondered if my baby would remove the helmet easily, since she does not like hats or anything on her head. So far, the velcro keeps it in place and she could not remove it even if she tried. Like anything else, this product may not work for everyone, but it does work wonderfully for our little one. I highly recommend it.

Perfect little helmet for any child!
I wasn't too sure about this helmet from reading the reviews. I was so nervous that my daughter would easily be able to pull it off defeating the purpose all together. When I received it in the mail it was cuter than what I had imaged. I love how this helmet is very light weight, so it isn't a strain on my daughters head. When I went to put it on her head the first time she kept wanting to play with it, so I was sure then it would be a struggle to get her to leave it alone while wearing it. So I took one of her toys that played music to distract her while I put the helmet on. Very quick and easy to slide on the helmet and attached the Velcro straps. I was amazed that after putting on the helmet and walking away my daughter kept playing with her toy, and acted like she didn't even know it was there. Now when I put on the helmet it's like she isn't wearing anything at all. She doesn't tug at it or try to remove it. My daughter is 9 months and tries to walk, so she falls and bumps her head quit often, and this helmet has saved us many tears. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! I have attached pictures of my daughter Lilly playing in her helmet. Oh and a quick note, all helmets make you sweat one way or another. It should be common sense that you can't leave this helmet on your child for long periods of time and expect their head not to sweat a little. This helmet has a ton of ventilation holes in it but if you leave it on your child for an hour they will start to sweat a little.

Not the typical use, but works great for us...
I am not sure how to accurately review this item. We use it in a different way than it is technically designed. I think it is comical, and borderline absurd to put a helmet on your child as they learn the mechanics of their bodies. This little one is our fourth, and they have all had their fair share of falls, bumps, and bruises. I think it is part if the process, and also helps to instill the necessary sense of caution we all need to learn. All of that being said, to each their own, I suppose, and our year and a half old toddler rides in a VERY nice, protected, and highly rated bike seat every day multiple times a day for many miles. We are an active family and bike our three boys in to school and pick them up every day, she and I also take off on a longer ride. Every bike specific helmet I tried on her tiny head was not truly designed to fit while their head is below the top of the seat, and they would be shoved forward basically choking her, therefor she would not wear them. They are too heavy and cumbersome for her in the seat. They are designed more for the trailers. So my search began for a helmet that would provide some added protection along with the seat, but it also needed to be comfortable, and fit her head well, and fit IN the seat well! This for the bill perfectly!!! The material is durable and really impressively thick. It is soft, and seems to be fairly comfortable for her. She feels like it is more of a hat. I just tell her it is time to put her ears on ;) there are a ton of parents and kiddos obsessed with her and her helmet with the ears at the boy's school.t It is the first one I could get her to wear steadily. So, A+ for an option outside the box that is both adorable, and functional! D- for such an absurd, hovercraft parenting tool!

Causes head to sweat profusely. * EDITED after months of use*
UPDATE:The first few times my son used this product, I was disappointed. As he started to get used to it, he quit sweating in it ENTIRELY. I have no idea how this happened- possibly that he’s no longer unnerved by the helmet? He uses this helmet any time he’s roaming or on the floor, plying with his toys. I’ve seen this helmet protect his noggin from a bump, or worse, in excess of 15 times. This is a fantastic product and I encourage it 100% to any parents worried about a potential “thud.”Everything looked great and I was so excited for o get it on my 8 month old. 1. He can take it off easily, within 10 seconds. 2. His head was incredibly sweaty within a half hour. $40 was expensive for this helmet and then it can’t be used due to little ventilation.

GREAT product!!
We got this helmet for our son when he started being more mobile. It's a great product. Gives us some peace of mind when he's crawling, pulling up on things, etc. The only thing to mention is that if he's had it on for a long period of time, his head becomes sweaty. The helmet has holes on it to prevent this issue, but even the instructions that come with it suggest to take it off every so often so they don't become over-heated. Even then, our son does not seem to mind this. He leaves it on the majority of the time. Only when he's tired is when he tries taking if off. The helmet itself is very lightweight, so it doesn't bother our son. Half of the time, I don't think he even realizes that he has it on. The ohter thing I like about it are the "ears." They're really cute. We've gotten many compliments on it and always get asked where I found it. So, to sum it up, it's one of the best investments we've made! We don't worry as much about him hitting his head everywhere. VERY happy with it!!
