Q: i purchased Chile ancho powder. To make it into a sauce do you suggest just adding broth? Do you have any recipes?

No, you need to add more than broth to make chili gravy or red enchilada sauce. Lots of good recipes for this on Pinterest.

Q: Description says this has a "sweet" taste. I want to use it as base flavor in red sauce for pork tamales. Will this make the meat taste sweet?

The pepper has a fruity sweetness...not sweet like sugar. Anchos have a kind of "raisin" scent when whole. If you use these peppers, you won't have pork candy! We used this in tamales and it was delicious.

Q: is this product non GMO?

I could not find any indication on the ancho chile powder package that it is non-GMO. I would assume that is not non-GMO.
