An overall upgrade and progress
First off, never write or trust reviews based on demos. Demos are never true presentations of the final games, at least for both PES.I started playing soccer games since Fifa95 and Winning Eleven 95. For me, the WE series has got it right in the first place. Folks at EA have never understood the real mechanics of the sport, and have never delivered the "right" game that you can only enjoy as a fan or a player. To me, FIFA has done better in recent years than PES by offering more features and more real-name teams and players. But its core fun factor has never progressed.PES has been fun because of its overall feel: ball physics, movement, team support, strategy settings and pass/shot/cross realism. Every goal is different. Now every save, tackle and cross seems to be different . You have games that really reflect the differences between player stats. I started off in Master League with the PES lineup, and after losing 2 games, I felt convinced because you could feel the difference in every minute of the game between your Castolo and C Ronaldo. And in this installment, Konami takes it seriously to add more features. There are more settings that you need to go through before playing a real game in ML or Become a Legend mode. And there are extra content that seems to be real fun. And the sound track seems to have a nice update too. This is a real upgrade to the franchise for PS3, unlike the previous 2 installments. Maybe the first really worthy PES game to play on PS3.

Best PES yet!!!
This is by far the best PES i ever played, it's so much difficult than the previous version but don't get me wrong... that's good, actually it gives a touch of realism that had not before, passes, shots goals, etc..the new tactics and play mode are just great and all the settings system is amazing you get the whole package..there still some points they need to work out(penalty kicks, licenses, etc..) but overall is simply the best soccer game out there, even though Fifa has better graphics and better marketing at the end of the day i just want to have fun alone or with my friends and that's when the gameplay comes into action and Fifa can't beat PES on that.

Great game, but still have some flaws
I just got the game yesterday and only played one game under Professional difficulty with RM vs Milan. I won 4-2. I felt the control is much different from the previous versions, which need some time to get used to. The only complain that I have is the camera angle, which, sometimes, is hard to identify the right direction to pass and shoot, especially under the new passing system. Also, the strategy setting is a little to complicated to me. End of the day, we are just trying to play some soccer, not trying to play the Football Manager game. Other than that, the game looks great to me.PS. I have been a PES and WE fan for over 10 years. No matter how good people say FIFA is, I aint to touch it. PES is for hardcore soccer fans.

Good but hard to find USA online players.
This game to me is better than FIFA 11 i have both. Now if u like easier game play and scoring then get FIFA else u want touched defense and low scoring then get pes. The only bad thing about this game is the online aspect.1. Few USA players to play against.2. The server design is horrible no where near FIFA. In FIFA u can sort players online by their connection strength. In pes it is just plain horrible. Maybe 360 might have more players or FIFA just has more players in general online. I know in Europe they have a large pes community.

PES 11 is great, FIFA too
PES 11 is a great soccer game, as is FIFA. I love the graphics on PES, especially the player likenesses. Truly amazing. New passing scheme is excellent. Commentary not as good as FIFA but not bad either. FIFA plays well and has all the licenses, which is a big plus. Hard to say which one is better since they're both great in their own right. All depends on individual preference. Two great games to pick from soccer fans, enjoy!

it is getting crazy!!!!!
I play PES last 8 years, and it is way better than FIFA. It is un-predictable, each year they are making more realistic. First I started to play PES 2011, it sucked b/c it was harder and hard to control etc. Later I played PES 2010 and I saw the improvements on PES 2011It will take couple matches to get used to it. later it is EXCELLENT game. Thanks KONAMI

Doesn't deserve PES label
I've been a PES fan for over 10 years and have purchased every version each year during that time. This is the first version that made me go back to the older version (2010).There are 2 major issues:1. So called 360 passing makes it impossible for D Pad users to play this game since D pad on the controlloer does not rotate 360 degrees. It causes passes to go all over the place and ruins the game play. I'm all for realism and freedom of play, but there should be some computer pssing assistance for D pad users.2. As you get closer to the goal line, the screen starts to tilt. This not only caueses confusion, I can't even tell where the ball is going! Especially during corner kick situations, the tilting/angling of the screen makes me lose sense of distance and positioning.
