We have now replaced all of our bin covers with these. They don’t get mixed up with the neighbors’ and they keep the racoons out!

Snaps on easy and well, not liquid tight, a bit more center flex than I hoped, a little trickier to get back off than I expected. It's Rubbermaid so I have little doubt it will fail for my usage.

My garbage can was missing it’s lid. It is an OEM replacement.

I've either lost or had the locking tabs broken on every Rubbermaid garbage can that I have. These are the 32 gal Brute containers from Menard's. When I called Rubbermaid with the product number from the lid and told them what it went on, they said that a replacement lid was not available. A search of Amazon with measurements revealed that although the part number didn't match, the dimensions did. They come in a host of colors and shapes. So don't give up people. There are lids out there at a fair price that will replace your lost and broken ones instead of spending 4 times the cost for a complete new garbage container.

You would expect to get a lid and garbage can from the same place. Maybe that's why it's not a decent fit.

Had two old Rubbermaid Brute barrels without lids which had been left by a contractor. I was looking to replace some old garbage barrels and thought those would work. Ordered lids and they fit perfect, snapping securely into place. I ordered the red so they wouldn't get confused with the neighbors' lids, and they do look good.

Took a chance and this lid fits my older trash can ordered red so no neighbors can mistakenly pick up if it should blow away on a windy day LOL can was still in good shape
