My elderly parents FINALLY agreed to me getting them a shower chair. Now that they have it they LOVE it. They aren't large people so this review reflects that. I wanted to make sure I got them something that wouldn't be in the way while adding them the safety of sitting while showering. I love that it was very reasonably priced, was absolutely SIMPLE to assemble, and it's VERY STURDY. Not sure if this would work for larger people, this is being used by average size adults. Oh, BTW it's pretty light weight so it's easy for them to move around if needed.

I bought this shower seat to help me with cleaning my feet. I was diagnosed with stress fractures on my L-5 vertebrae and it was becoming very painful for me to balance my legs properly in order to clean my feet. This shower seat is a godsend. It’s small enough to fit in my shower yet sturdy enough that I can literally sit on it comfortably and tend to my feet in comfort. I did have a couple of minor issues putting it together, and you should be aware that you will more than likely need to exert of bit of force to get the crossbars to connect up to the individual legs when tightening everything up. Just read the instructions carefully and take your time and you should be fine. I am not expecting the blue rubber pad that goes on top of the seat to last very long as it’s a bit thin however even if it fails completely the top of the seat will still be perfectly comfortable without the pad. I’m totally happy with this little unit and, for the price I paid, I think it’s well-made and a great value.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. I weigh about 170 lbs and I needed a bath tub chair so that I could sit down while washing my feet, without running the risk of slipping. The chair is sturdy and fits perfectly in my bath tub. The bolts came screwed to the rods, so that the user could see which part goes where during assembly. Even though I was able to assemble the chair, the instructions could be a little bit more detailed. For example, I had to experiment to see which cross member goes above the other and the same for the legs. But I after this minor difficulty I am very satisfied.

So, this shower chair fit the bill (and the width of our tub) nicely. The assembly instructions were simple drawings only, which required some study and trial fitting to get right. Once we figured out the assembly puzzle, the chair went together fairly easily. The legs are reinforced by cross-members, so the weight-supporting capacity of the chair should be as advertised, not that it will ever be subjected to the 500 lb. load limit. The seat is a bit narrow (cost 1 star there), but wide enough to provide full support without anything hanging off the sides. Stability while seated is fine - no wobbling or tipping. The non-slip blue self-adhesive seat pad offers a surprising amount of comfort over what might be expected of the bare plastic seat. Water drainage is quick and pretty thorough, with just a few drops that drip out when the seat is lifted out of the tub. The legs are adjustable, so the chair height can be tailored to work with users of various heights and standing ability. Getting off the chair is fairly easy, although a handrail in the shower enclosure is helpful. Overall, this was a good choice for improved shower safety.

It's made very sturdy so the individual weight should not be a problem, and it's a very good size to fit in a tub.
