Needed to replace the battery for an old laptop I had, switched it out, and worked immediately. It came partially charged. Great Price!

Works for Dell 5559 laptop.
My 8-year-old laptop has seen better days. It's starting to exhibit end-of-life symptoms. Old video card, slow internet, slow processing, etc. The AC adapter plug in was not registering, which caused a drain on my battery. When I finally got the AC adapter to work, the battery would not charge. After replacing it with this new battery, it successfully charged to 100% when kept in sleep mode overnight. At first, the new battery may appear low and stay uncharged for some time, but give it adequate time to charge. Mine is functioning optimally and should allow me a few more weeks of laptop life until I get rid of the old clunker : )

Replacement battery for an old Dell laptop, died 7 months later.
My Dell is over 8 years old but it's still kicking. The original battery only last about a good hour use before it the laptop will power off. Since the laptop is at its end of service/life. You can no longer buy the batteries from Dell.Took a gamble on this replacement and to my surprise. The cell are made in Korea and assembled in China. My guess these cells are probably made by Samsung.Everything fits, snaps right in and was about to use the laptop for about an hour before I decided to plug it in and charge it up (went from 68% down to 62% in 30 minutes so that's really good)So far so good and no error whatever after leave the laptop on and unplugged.Will update again at a later date to see if the cell and it's life cycles holds up.Update - 04/04/2025Well the battery just died one day and computer failed to turn on. Got the loud error beeps, end up removing the battery and stick the OE one back in just to back up my data again. The laptop was plugged in 90% of the time so I'm not sure what went wrong.I originally gave it a 5 star and now changing to to 1 due to such a short life span and the laptop being plugged in majority of the time while in use.

Worked great!! No issues! I removed the old battery & inserted the new one just like replacing batteries in a toy! Highly recommend if your old Dell battery is failing.
