The media could not be loaded. I have a little Rong Fu FR-30 mill and found a video on youtube where a guy mounted this DRO on his RF-30. He also included plans to make 3D printed brackets which made the install painfully easy. You can find the vid under his user name on you tube "The ID of ED" - Anyhow, this DRO is extremely well made an seems very accurate. I've already done a few milling projects with it and it makes milling a lot more enjoyable and a lot more accurate! There are no instructions on how to mount it because each application is different but if you need instructions to mount this then this is not the product for you LOL. There is a manual which tells you how to program and use the DRO, which I still have to go through, but for the basics it's very very easy. If you buy one you will get a email from the seller verifying the size before they ship it. I think this is actually good because they make sure that you get the right size part. They were very friendly and easy to work with and shipping was very very fast. A lot quicker than I expected. Was shipped from within the USA, wiring from. Overall, this is a great DRO from the price and should last a long time. A+++

DRO is good for a first time cheap to learn on but the shiper lacks, orderer because it was in USA and i under stand getting the right size the first time emailed me 6 times over a week when i ordered a package with a specific size scales asking what size i wanted and keep wanting to offering a different size just to put off sending it from some where else( amazon got it shipped after contacting them ) then sent exactly what i ordered with no instructions not even a chinese picture later found it is two company's and it was under priced

Great little DRO for the money. Very accurate with many useful functions. Makes my mini mill much more versatile and useful. I can now tackle more precise projects. Very happy.

I gave this four stars because the buttons described in the manual do not match the actual buttons on the display, however a quick internet search returned a manual (Sterling brand) that did match. I find this does everything I need and is more accurate than my machine is. I didn't use any of the brackets, made my own. One of the things I like about these scales is the glass is not glued in. This was important as I needed to cut down the scales. One thing I didn't like was the glide for the read head will slide out. another scale I have has this screwed to the head so I drilled and tapped it to fasten it to the head. If you try to use another brand of scale, you may have to rewire the scale plug, just match the wire colors to the scales that come with this unit.

Worked with seller on length of scales. Excellent communication and good information.Included mounting hardware was useless for my application (LMS HiTorque 3990), but drilling and tapping the mounting holes for the scales was simple enough. Once aligned, accuracy was good and repeatable.

For 15 years, I used the dials on my mill to position the cutters. Always factoring in backlash when positioning the bits. With the DRO, using my mill has become a dream. Just go to the required co-ordinate and do my work. Should have done this years ago.

Excellent device for the money. Most of the universal hardware was easily adaptable to my mill. Scale lengths were perfect. One scale arrived damaged in shipping, but the seller shipped a replacement quickly. The accuracy is great. Can't go wrong with this setup for a Grizzly or Harbor Freight knee mill.

The scales made the accuracy and repeatability of my little milling machine 100% better. The installation was a little tricky, but definitely worth it. The only issue is due to the way I had to install it the + and - direction is backwards, and I have not figured out how to reverse it.
