A very helpful little gadget while learning to communicate in Spanish.
I got this because I have yet to learn to speak Spanish, and I see more and more people who do not speak English, and have a need to communicate. This little gadget is very helpful to find the right word! It has also helped me to get off the fence and actively begin to learn the language.

Horrible. It set the primary language as Italian and ...
Horrible. It set the primary language as Italian and wouldn't let me reset English as the primary. The display screen crashed within 20 minutes of use. Nothing I did would restore it. Worst product I've ever used - seriously. No redeeming value whatsoever. Save your money!

Not completely without value
My daughter's Spanish teacher recommended a translator for his class. We were somewhat disappointed in the ease of use and how clumsy this translator is. It was ok for simple translations, but really was not a lot of help in learning the Spanish language. It seemed like it would help you find a bathroom or order lunch in a foreign country, but her classmates had much better, much easier to use translators. She gave up using this one after just a couple of weeks.

OK for the money, but....
This product is very reasonably priced, however, it certainly does not measure up to the product description. In particular, the Euro converter did not work for me (or it was just to un-user friendly). Also many needed words and phrases were not found.

Barely useful
I bought this for a two week trip to Italy. Only used it to translate. It did a very poor job. I guess you might get a few single words out of it but it was useless in a restaurant. Even simple words it didn't have. I wanted to change a 5 euro note for some coins to feed the parking meter. It didn't have the word "coins" in its data base. I had low expectations and they weren't even met.
