Fantastic Game - Really hope there will be a Judgement 2
I kinda of fell into the Yakuza games when i saw the release of yakuza 0 and since then i have played Kiwami 1 and 2, Yakuza 6 and now Judgement. This game didnt disappoint. The studio really nailed the main character and the storyline and the graphics are fantastic. "Tak" the main character has this easy to like charm about him and the same Charisma about him that Kiryu had in the Yakuza game but for very different reasons. Tak is witty and is extremely smart , happy to outwit his fores with his mind or his fists. He doesnt carry that same intense aura of honour that Kiryu lives by as without giving spoilers away has a journey of redemption himself to go through in the game. The supporting case are all pretty good and the Villains play their part well. The story is intriguing and have some nice twists to keep you guessing although i did suspect the main Villain well before the reveal. The story is super engaging and the newly added detective mode where you can choose the best questions to ask gives this game a further level of depth not found in the Yakuza games to date. The fighting is varied enough to not get boring as you can progress your characters skills as you gain EXP throughout the game. I really enjoyed this game and recently read that the game has already sold 97% of its worldwide stock so heres hoping the developers plan on making a sequel!!

Yakuza Detective Game
As a fan of Yakuza games I got Judgment as made by same people and is set in same city as Yakuza. This game is very like Yakuza but with plenty of differences, some of mini games are same like batting cages and darts and gambling etc. There is no bowling this replaced by a dice be game which is fun and gives you chance to earn plenty of cash. The game play its self is re similar to Yakuza roaming around a large city, but in addition to the brawling is detective work solving cases trailing suspects, spying on them with drones and lock picking etc. The combat seems faster paced than Yakuza and slightly easier but still fun. The Storyline although good is weaker than Yakuza and I could see most of the twists coming a mile off not spoiling the game though. For Yakuza fans this game is great fun plenty of depth took me about 50 hrs to complete main story taking my time and so far had 10 hrs on premium adventure finishing sub stories etc. Although not quite as good asYakuza I would highly recommend this to Yakuza fans and fans of action adventure fighting RPG games.

Not bad
I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. Decent game but not as technically good as other top end games and the story just isn't as interesting as the main yakuza games. Only played yakuza kiwami but this isn't as good. Good game but could have been great with a bit more polish and slightly betterbstory

Reserve judgment until you have played this.
Let me get straight to the point here. This is a fantastic and fun game! You do not need to have played any of the Yakuza games to appreciate this (although I may try them now) You can play at the pace you feel comfortable with. The story is riveting and never gets dry. There are many excellent side-quests including catching a pantie-sniffer (yes, really). It has a full English dub, which makes it so much more immersive and accessible in my opinion. There are so many deep, captivating characters. The list goes on...This is one of those games that will easily get overlooked, but it is so worth your time and money. Just check out some of the many reviews on Youtube if you're still not sure. I expect they will make some sort of a sequel, and I hope they do! Sega, Arigatou.

Five stars
Decided to try this after playing Yakuza 0 and the Kiwami games and loving them. Though not marketed as a Yakuza game, it is one in all but name, being set in Kamurocho and using the Dragon engine from K2. As great as the likes of Kiryu and Majima are, Yagami is right up there with them, along with a great supporting cast of characters alongside him. The story is up there with that of Yakuza 0 in terms of quality, though I'm disappointed by the lack of a karaoke minigame and the tailing missions are just awful. As per usual, the substories are a lot of fun too. Some of the bosses in later chapters are seriously tough, especially on legend difficulty, and this isn't helped by the 'mortal wounds' feature. Now looking forward to playing the remastered collection when that gets a physical release.

good game - should have waited a week though
not far into this yet but it's much better than yakuza 0, which i found a bit boring tbh. It prob would have been better if I'd played the rest of the yakuza series first but Judgment just felt a lot fresher, the fights are more satisfying , as is the story. The only downside so far is that I paid £30 for it and a week later Amazon brought it down to £20.... enrages me when that happens.

Good. It's a total revamp.
It's great. Different from the Yakuza series definitely. All the item lists and skill lists have been updated. That feeling of old game feeling is there but not as strongly when you play the Yakuza series. But one bad thing about this game is there is only two styles and they are slow. I prefer the combat of Yakuza rather than Judgment. It's great overall.
