Check Neutriks wiring guide fully before soldering
Excellent product, with one glitch , the wiring guide needs to be read very closely to ensure you solder the shield to the correct terminal . Once that's cracked the product works seamlessly and very well indeed

My Go to 90 for my best cables
I think Neutrik products stand on their own as top of the list Quality. These silent plugs are a must for a guitarist especially if you are running tube gear.

Serious regret!
This is without a doubt one of the most obscenely overpriced, frustrating and ineffectual bottles of snake oil I have yet encountered. I don't know what diameter of guitar cable these connectors are supposed to fit onto, but it's nothing standard that I've ever dealt with. I spent the better part of three hours trying to do a ten minute job that I've done so many times that I could do it in my sleep! The boot will not fit over the chuck no matter what I do. I even trimmed off the woven protective jacket and it still wouldn't fit. The amount of force necessary to even make a reasonable attempt at assembling the pieces is great enough to rip the wire apart inside the jacket. This, of course requires de-soldering your work, cutting back the cable past the damaged area to start again. I had cut nearly a seven inches off the cable before I called it quits, and even managed to break one of the three legs of the chuck. I thought this would be a nice upgrade for a cable I already liked, and I ended up getting sucked into hype and wishful thinking and ended up waisting three hours and nearly $40! I see that Mogami cable is "frequently purchased with...", but I see no indication in the description that one most only use that brand, or even a mention of that brand beyond Amazon's suggestions to obtain more money from you. Maybe it works fine with Mogami, but I'll pass. Once bitten, twice shy.

Noisey
The cable diameter must be no larger than the diameter of the hole through the boot. Lack of instructions on how to put it together can be a real problem. The cable cinching cover that goes inside needs to be trimmed otherwise the boot will not screw on all the way and the inner cover will cinch the cable too much. Even when installed optimally I get noise from it when I tap the top of the connector. Not worth it.

Tight fit on cable housing
As others have written it's almost impossible to secure the threads around a quality cable housing. If I'm buying premium plugs I'm also using well insulated and premium cable. I had to whittle down the outer cable jacket to even attempt getting the threads to engage. I don't trust it and will not use it live. So now I've built an expensive practice cable.I prefer right angle plugs at the guitar, but this isn't the one. If noise and the disconnect is critical (frequent guitar changes on stage) the straight plug works and doesn't have the same issues for me. So you choose which is more important.
