Good coverage and polished look
This has good coverage it did take me about three-four coats on my very old kitchen cabinets but the finish is great. It’s not too thick and application was easy. A whole gallon did my whole kitchen and the vanity in the upstairs bathroom great value for the money.

INSL-X cabinet worked On my laminate cabinets
The process:Decide where to start. In total I have 25 doors, 7 drawers, the outsides of the boxes, several overhead railings, and 2 valences to paint, I made space to lay out and paint 7 doors at a time. Everything else can be painted in place.7 amRemoved the hinges and pulls and taped places I didn’t want paint.Washed 7 of the the doors, their boxes and 4 drawers with degreaser, wiped dry.Applied liquid sander, let it do its magic for 15 minutes, wiped with damp cloth, driedSanded all lightly with 220 grit sandpaper, wiped with damp cloth, dried. I laid out the doors in my paint area and to make painting the sides easier I set 1” blocks ( rolls of tape or small boxes work) under the doors on my paint table.8 amUsing a sponge roller and a 1” paint brush I applied a thin coat of INSL-X cabinet coat, do NOT over paint. After 2 hours I flipped the doors over and painted the insides.I let dry a total of 6 hours, and tried to not panic because everything looked pretty streaky. I checked for drips and sanded lightly where necessary then wiped.2 pmRepeated with a second thin coat of INSL-X cabinet coat to everything, after 2 hours flipped the doors over and painted the insides. Waited a total of 6 hours. The old laminate cabinets were now looking better but, now for the magic…8 pmI applied a third coat!Next morning I Installed new handles, hung the doors and voilà a jaw dropping start to my new kitchen.I was able to complete 7 doors, 4 drawers and the boxes all in one day.I planned to use a protective Polycrylic high gloss coat but they look so darned good I decided to forego the gloss.INSL-X cabinet paint worked complete magic on my laminate cabinets. One gallon will be more then sufficient to paint all of my kitchen laminated surfaces.Highly recommend.

Excellent Results, Easy to Use
I painted some bathroom cabinets that were starting to look pretty sorry. I gave them a light sanding, filled a few imperfections, and put two coats of InsulX on with a brush (doors and drawers were removed and painted separately from the cabinets).I could not be happier with the results. Two coats gave it a satin, factory-like finish. Everything leveled perfectly, and everything dried quickly. I left the doors and drawers to dry overnight in the garage. InsulX is an outstanding product and I'm already eyeing another painting project.

Better paint that the big box stores sell
Better paint that the big box stores sell and more durable but still not as good as oil based cabinet paint. Overall I have sprayed 8 gallons of this paint on cabinets and trim and its good quality paint, sticks good but using a oil based primer makes a better finished product. Overall I will keep using it but I wouldn't recommend it for refinish a kitchen that gets a lot of use.

TRANSFORMED MY 80S KITCHEN CABINETS
New cabinets are EXPENSIVE! I read several reviews on different cabinet paints before buying this. They came out GREAT. You MUST do your prep work first and make sure you cabinets are cleaned of all the old kitchen grease and grime. But if you do it right, your cabinets will come out looking almost as good as new!

Great cabinet paint
Great cabinet paint. Painting cabinets is a pain, but I’ve used a couple different kinds of cabinet paint in the past and I’m happy with this purchase. It took me 3 coats to cover brown vinyl cabinets. I recommend putting it on thick and using a roller. I had to do several more coats when I used a brush. I removed the cabinets and laid them flat to dry. This paint does a great job of settling and smoothing itself out as it dries. But that also means it will drip. You may want to go back a few minutes after painting to smooth out drips.

Good quality
This paint works well for covering laminate cabinets. It applies very thin. Don’t be deceived by the first coat. It thins out quite a bit after it dries. Took between 4-5 coats to get good coverage over my laminate, which was smooth finish dark wood grain. I ordered 2 gallons to do all kitchen cabinets and a large L shaped island. Only used 1 gallon. I did little to no prep sanding, only thorough cleaning/degreasing and this paint adhered well. Good product, recommend.

A damn fine paint!
Ok, I am over the moon about this paint! I used an entire quart and reordered the gallon size. It is the most perfect white, extremely forgiving and easy to work with, and dries to a gorgeous not-quite-matte finish. Lovely. I have painted 4 doors and and frames, front and back, plus a window sill. A little goes a long way! I have found success by brushing on several thin layers, and patiently letting them dry between coats. I have used a brush (a couple of brushes) exclusively, no rollers, and the finish is gorgeous without paint strokes. I covered up an almond high gloss finish, and the results are perfect! So pleased I found this!
