Size Name:10 ltr PlantBooster expanded perlite is a white, ultra-lightweight aggregate that has been heated to a high temperature to produce a lightweight, micro-porous material with a high surface area and a particle size of 1-5mm. It is inorganic, inert, non-toxic, neutral in pH and biologically stable. Perlite is widely used in commercial hydroponics, seed starting and plant rooting and as a soil conditioner. It enhances the water-holding and anti-compaction properties of soil and is an ideal compost additive with its excellent water retention properties. Perlite increases aeration and drainage in soil, improving germination and boosting root growth, essential for healthy young plants and seedlings. It has excellent thermal insulation properties over an extremely wide temperature range, has a highly adsorbent surface and a very low bulk density which makes it an ideal carrier or low cost filler for many applications. Really small quantity.
I had not realised how tiny the quantity would be. I can't believe it's a litre. It would fit inside a pint glass.

well packaged and arrived early, i mix it mainly with a few handfuls of compost and use it for dusting over seeds.recommended

Essential for flower pots and no soggy soil.
Excellent and light media for flower pots. Stops water clogging the soil.

Invaluable for drainage
A must for newly reared plants to lighten the compost and excellent as a mixed in succulent and cactus mix. Also of course is of little weight.

Works really well
Mixed with bagged up soil about 50/50 to sow some fine seeds. Got 100% success on germination. Easy to prick out too.

received a bag of dust. can't use it and can;t be bothered to return and also found far better deals since i purchased this. recommend anyone looking at this product to check others before purchase

I can’t believe how small it is,I really expected more than that it’s a rip off.
