Saved me $150
My headphones stopped working without warning, irritated that I would have to buy yet another expensive pair, I looked for possible fixes. Found a video on replacing the battery. Looked easy-ish. Figured $15 was worth trying. I was able to successfully change out the battery with little to no cussing or damage. Hopefully I’ll get another 4+years out of my Beats Solo 3’s.

Didn’t work for Solo 3
I swapped this out & the lights immediately turned on on my beats so I was super excited! The excitement didn’t last though when I realized they wouldn’t power off (or at least lights wouldn’t shut off). Plus they never connected to my phone through Bluetooth or made any indication that they were actually powered up so I think in the end it is just defective or not the right product. Don’t waste your time & money.

Worked for Solo 2!
Package came with opening tool, small screwdriver and battery. Doing the replacement was easy and the new battery plugged right in. Everything worked as soon as I put the battery in. Power came on and headphones were charging immediately. tip - make sure to tuck the headphone wires in carefully and not pinch them. Hopefully I can get more use out of them for the $15 i spent - well worth it!!!

saved my solo 3s
worked despite the negative reviews! and even if i have to replace every six months like some of the reviews said still WAYYYY cheaper than having to buy new headphones and is extremely easy to do anyways. i’ve always been the person to have my dad help me with stuff like this but i was able to do it on my own so easily

Battery works replacement difficult
There were not directions on how to change out the battery. This was very difficult, but battery works as it should.

Maybe a Temporary Solution
I've been using my Beats Solo 3.0 for three years now, but recently the battery stopped charging. I prefer fixing components rather than replacing the entire product, so I decided to try replacing the battery. I was happy to find that the package came with a plastic guitar pick-like piece and a miniature flathead screwdriver, which allowed me to easily access the battery without damaging the headphones. However, I was disappointed to find that the new battery only lasted three months before it also stopped working. While this solution may be suitable for addressing temporary Bluetooth issues, it's important to keep in mind that using non-Apple components like this battery may result in increased costs if you plan on having the headphones serviced by Apple in the future.

Works perfectly
The battery fit perfectly, worked with my Beats Solo 3, and the included tools definitely help. However, I was surprised with how little use that I even needed a new battery.
