Eye of the Earthquake Dragon: A Branches Book (Dragon Masters #13) (13)

My daughter got sucked in this series of books a few months ago, and has been clamoring to read them as fast as possible. All of the books in this series are perfect for kids ages 7-10. Mine is currently 8 and has no problems reading through the books in this series. The story is very cute and age appropriate in content, and in difficulty. Can't recommend them enough. My son loved these in 2nd grade. They are great early chapter books. They are interesting (dragons!), show team work and problem-solving, and have many pictures. Now my son is ready for more advanced "middle grade" books and has told me he has outgrown these. They were well liked for a while and helped turn him into an avid reader. Let kids read interesting, even dreaded "twaddle", books as long as the morals are good. Then they learn that not only CAN they read, but they LIKE to read! That's when you can advance to "better" books. Early chapter books like this are priceless in helping kids make that leap.

This is the first book series my son fell in love with! He didn’t like to read and would give me such a hard time. but as a teacher by profession, I didn’t give up. I knew if I could find a book series that engaged him, he would learn to love to read. I read the first couple books in this series aloud to him. My first grader was hooked. We read the next books together, taking turns reading aloud. He now devours them quickly. He can’t wait until the next book comes out. He just finished second grade and still loves this series.

My child likes the entire series, this is book 13. Even though there's many chapters, they need to be longer. My child also liked the earthquake dragon because it looks friendly and does not mean any harm. It looks cool because its eye is the color of it's scales.

My son loves to read these books and he enjoys the illustrations in it. We have the entire collection. They are easy to read and are perfect for young readers looking for adventure.

Our little boy started reading this book series and loves it. We have purchased the entire collection over time. He started reading it when he was 7 and had a little bit higher reading level than his grade level at the time.

These are great books with an interesting plot line for early readers. My son is proud that he can read a chapter book like his big brother.

We needed a good "first chapter" series with lots of pictures as for bedtime routine as picture books just became rather expensive. So I searched the internet and came across the recommendation for Scholastic's Dragon Masters book series.They LOVE all the characters/dragons in the books and love guessing what each person can do and what powers the dragons have.Whenever possible we use the Kindle edition and broadcast it to our TV via our Amazon Firebox (via wireless projection) so that everyone can see the text and the pictures. Unfortunately not all the books are available for Amazon Kindle, so some books we had to buy as hard paper and we are running out of space in our bookshelves as we have sooo many books, so we prefer electronic copies. Electronic copies also allow us to share it onto their Amazon Fire tablets for kids.Again, LOVED by all of our kids and we have different ages and grasp of the world. Unfortuantely we have read ALL the books available and now have to wait until March 2021 until the next book comes out.

My boys love this series.

I recently purchased the entire set of the Dragon Masters collection for my 7 year old.The story is written well enough that they are able to read, and understand the terminology of the book well.We really enjoyed the questions and activities included at the end of each book.Great stories!!We can't wait for more!!

My niece started reading this series when she was very young. Now that she’s 11 she’s moved on to longer novels and more mature content, BUT she still waits for the next book in this series and eats it up in half an hour! Apparently she’s not growing out of these...

Granddaughter loves his books and my daughter is very happy because they have a area in the back that asks questions related to the book which she finds very helpful to see that her daughter is comprehending these books very well
