Good instructions, good range, IP44 only, using with Home Assistant
I am very pleased with it so far. Using it with Home Assistant running on a Raspbery Pi with an Aeotec Z-stick. Pairing was a little fiddly but only because I rushed through the instructions, follow them carefully and everything you need is there. Range is great, it reaches where my WiFi cannot and as a battery device I can position it in the perfect remote spot to trigger my outdoor lights. I didn't want to use a traditional floodlight with attached PIR as the best position for the PIR for me was not attached to the light. Now my z-wave PIR can scan a wide area and trigger several lights and some automations on the home server as well (e.g. it triggers cctv to record etc.). The only warning I have is that (as it states in the description) it is IP44 only so 'weatherporoof' not waterproof so if you install it outside it should be in a sheltered location e.g. under the eaves, out of direct sun and rain. So you can't just stick it in a tree.I dropped a star as the 'on duration' timer is not very granular. It says it is adjustable from 5 seconds to 12 minutes which is true but the increments are fixed so you can have 5 seconds, or 1 minute - the next step is 5 minutes so if you want something in between you can't have it. For me 1 minute was too short and 5 too long.Update: I have reduced my fours star rating to 3 stars. After installing the sensor I found that the daylight sensor - which ensures that the detector is only triggered at night was not working. I arranged an Amazon return and ordered a new one but it seems to have the same problem. I don't believe I am doing it incorrectly as it is pretty simple. I have the light level threshold set all the way round to 'moon' which should mean it only triggers at night in darkest darkness but it still comes on in broad daylight. Maybe it is a design flaw? It is not the end of the world for me as I am using Home Assistant i can use that to prevent daytime activation but if you were using the sensor directly to trigger a z-wave light then you won't be able to prevent it from activating in daylight.

Couldn't get it to work!
Couldn't get it to work with a Samsung SmartThings hub - so returned it. Got it to pair but thereafter no activity recorded by the hub.

Sensitivity quite poor
Not very useful as a security lamp and fit for the bin.

Great Z-Wave motion sensor connected to SmartThings
Purchased this Z wave motion sensor to use with SmartThings. Have to say that it connected pretty quickly and the instructions are easy to follow. Use it to change lighting in the house when motion is detected outside home. Smartthings help you integrate various smart home devices together rather than relying of cloud services like IFTTT.
