My kids 5 and 7 loved this clock. They know the basics of reading time. And it's easy for them to read this clock. Also, they love the music snippets for the alarm that they play whenever they want. Needless to say, we've had to place limits on how many snippets they can listen to.

Loud alarm. Adjusting volume is a problem. Will keep clock & see what happens. Batteries not included as posted.

Cute clock. Alarm sound is okay. Not super loud as it claims. One of the 4 I bought wouldn't even work. Because it was for Christmas I did not get to send it back. You can set it for a time but not specify am/pm so it isn't ideal for kids.

It's a small functional clock and does it's job. The alarm music is loud and annoying but does the job of getting me out of bed quickly, to switch it off. I love it's steady flat base.

I bought it for design. Love the clean design of this clock. The alarm has so many choice of music but it sucks that you can't really go back to pick. It's only go next song, next song... you have no idea how many choices there. It's impossible to get exactly what you want for alarm music. Also the volume is too loud. There is a small plastic plug that you can insert to lower the volume and it still too extreme. I wish i could return this.

I prefer analog clocks to digital but their ticking gets on my last nerve and keeps me awake. That's not a problem with this clock. I had my doubts but this clock really is silent. That alone makes it fantastic for a bedside table. It's easy to read in daylight and at night when you press the top of the clock to illuminate the face, a small yellowish light appears above the number 10 on the dial. This light is just enough to allow me to read the clock without having to squint but it's not so bright that it blinds me or causes me to begin to wake up. It's got a small footprint which would make it good for travel, too. (It's somewhere between a baseball and softball in size.) I don't know that the alarm would wake a very sound sleeper but it's annoying enough that it should wake most.

I bought this clock because I did not like relying on my phone as my alarm, and I wanted to stop having smartphone access right next to my bed. This clock did just the trick - it's very easy to set, has a loud alarm (I use the quieter setting, and it's loud enough for me), and looks great on my bedside table. I'm very happy with this product.
