Soy & Beeswax Candle Making Handbook: How to Start a Homebased Profitable Candle Making Business Kindle Edition

One evening was looking for something else on the internet and ran into the art of beeswax candles. I have been interested for the past month reading and researching and finally last night made my first 4 candles a votive and three in a mason jar. Was excited making these and am interested in starting a business now. It has been such a terrible year for me. Laid off for the past 14 months, I have applied to well over 400 private sector jobs plus 200 USAJobs with no real luck at all. Many disappointing outcomes. My mother shattered both her writs at 75 and lives out of state. Lost a friend of mine. just a horrible year. I don't have the start money which I am looking at 3k for this but maybe one day I can start this full force. I have a good business plan and financial forecast is good with a profit moving higher each year in my 6 products to date. Your book was a HUGE help and confidence boost for me and I have been writing and highlighting so much from your book. I wanted to thank you and hope that I can get things turned around for me finally and have some good news for a change. It's tough trying to start all over at 53 but I am hoping I can be successful doing this. If I only started this last year when I was laid off and had the funds it would had been great for this winter season to be ahead. As it stands now I have a whopping $152 in my account so with my fixed income now it will take awhile to really do more I guess. My wife is paying most of the mortgage now so I really want to help pay more of my share of the bills. Thanks again for doing this great advice book and helping me learn more about this business. Most of this information can easily be found online, and a lot of it is just common sense. The essential oil guide on page 52 is impossible to read, which I found particularly disappointing; it looks like a bad computer graphic that was blown up to fit the page. As an English major, the grammatical errors throughout the book make it difficult for me to take the author seriously. Only reason I don't return it is because it costs half of what I paid for it to send it back (thanks Amazon Prime).

I like this book because it deals solely with organic candles, soy and beeswax. Before reading this book I read three other books on candle making and they all focused more on paraffin candles which is not what I want to make for a commercial home based business starting up. This author, Rebecca Hall, is knowledgeable, experienced in the business, I like that she provides links to suppliers and to government registration etc, it is nice that she provided her email contact. Valid points. Her style of writing is anything but boring.

I am glad I selected this book as my starting point for getting an overview of considering a candle business. I have done extensive research (for over three months now) with different publications. I decided to begin my journey in the business after getting a realistic and informative publication such as this one. The writer is very thorough and provides many sources to set you up for success. It is a great guide and a great starting point. Although I do not make soy candles exclusively, a lot of the information in this book provides general tips for being a successful candle business owner, regardless of the type of wax being used. This is a fantastic purchase if you have never owned a business. I’ve now read this book 3 times as I keep going back to important references and tips here. Thank you Ms. Hall, for such a generous read!

This was difficult to read. There is some good information, but those with high grammatical/formatting standards may cringe. It seems like a large font was used so that the book would have more pages.The author contradicts herself on at least one occasion. I did learn a few interesting facts, but some things were outright incorrect. Whoopsie.Note - My interest is in the technical skill of candle making, not business. Those seeking business advice might benefit from the last half of this book.

Found this soap and beeswax candle making book on free promotion, decided to download it. I am glad I did. This is a fascinating book. I didn't know candle is multi billion dollar industry. For most stay-at-home moms I think this a perfect side gig where they can master the craft and make a few extra bucks. The author I thought did a decent job explaining how to get started. Two thumbs up for this book.

I brought this book as a gift for someone who was just starting out making candles.She is so pleased with it and would highly recommend it . All you need to know about making candles, selling candles and very useful websites.
