Paladin Tools PA8045 CrimpALL Professional Crimping Tool, Crimp RJ45 and Cable TV "F" Connectors (POE Ethernet)

This came recommended to me by a colleague, but mine isn't the same as his. The biggest problem is that the die crimps pin one too far down. The second biggest is the grip is so wide I can't always grab it with one hand. I'm crimping platinum tools with pass through. The third is that the coax crimps aren't the sizes I need. The fourth is that it's not especially cat6a friendly.The good stuff is that it matches my other crimpers. It doesn't take so much pressure which means my hand hurts less. It's easily identifiable as mine.I don't recommend buying rj45 crimpers from Amazon. There are too many fakes. I do recommend buying crimpers directly from the manufacturer of the rj45s you're crimping...especially if it's platinum since the hdpro has been cooked so many times.

I previously owned an IDEAL crimper, and after crimping hundreds of RJ-45s, my hand eventually tired. I decided to buy this Paladin one because it can crimp RJ-45 and RG6 (coax). I no longer saw a need to crimp any RJ-11s (phone) (which the IDEAL one had.)This crimper performs very well. It made it easier to crimp with less effort.Further, the head can be changed -- this modular design allows you to buy an RJ-11 template, if you so desire, and crimp RJ-11s with this same crimper. Excellent tool!I use crimp tools of all types every single day, all the crimp tools must be the ratcheting type to ensure proper crimp. This tool is comfortable in the hand and effortless to operate and for the price you can't beat it. Even better, there are multiple dies that can be purchased seperately to crimp not only RJ-45 connectors but also numerous types of coax cable, terminal lugs and splices.Very versatile tool, highly recommend!

I received a Greenlee and not a Paladin. I returned the item and specifically asked for the Paladin as the replacement. A few days later the replacement arrived which turned out to be a Greenlee as well. So be aware if you are expecting a Paladin to match your other tools.

This tool was used a lot for terminating all of our drops for plugging into the patch panels and module ends.

I have owned these for a few months now and I love the frames and interchangeable jaws. I have since picked up 2 more sets of jaws to crimp a variety of connectors. Well worth the mone, you always get a PROFESSIONAL crimp!!

This is one of my most favourite tool. This needs pressure adjustment from the factory settings for a perfect crimp though. Much less effort needed than the other cheaper ones. Love it.
