Works great if you follow the instructions
Read through reviews and there are so many reviews about it simply not working straight out of the box. Unfortunately, based on what a lot of the reviews say, that's probably more to do with user error than the unit itself. The wiring isn't exactly intuitive and if you don't read the instructions you're going to have a bad time with a seemingly broken unit. You can even see the wiring diagram in the product listing pictures. Before giving up on the unit make sure you wire it properly according to the instructions Only time will tell how long this lasts but right now it's a great little temperature controller.

Works great for low-amp loads
I bought this controller for a portable fish tank that I'm building. It works great for controlling the cooling pump. Easy to "set and forget" - just what I needed and at a very reasonable price. Two thoughts, though, based on some of the negative reviews I've seen: 1) The relay in this controller is rated at 10 amps but I don't believe it. It's tiny, and drawing that much current through it will cause problems (arcing, which will eventually destroy the relay). Limit your load to 1 amp or less. 2) Have good, clean power (ie steady voltage) to drive the controller. If you use the same power source for both controller power and load you may have wild voltage swings, which will eventually kill the controller.

It does control the cooling fan and provide overall temperature readings inside inclosure.
I installed this temperature controller inside my self built home generator to monitor and switch a heavy velocity radiator fan 10 amps 12 volts on, to control heat buildup. It preformed perfectly as described. This controller held up for 4 months average to 6.7 hours at different times generator was needed and during a couple test runs. The last time I test run the generator, it failed to come on during engine run time. I assume this device is the same as the digital RPM display I purchased and went through 3 of them one right after the other. I discovered that although the manual claims to operate on 12 volts. That maybe true under certain conditions. The temperature controller states that it will function up to 14 volts. In order to correct the failure I had to install a 9 volt regulator in line with the RPM counter and a 12 volt regulator for the temperature controller. Both regulators have over voltage protection so if the regulators are damaged due to over voltage they shut down. I strongly recommend voltage regulators on devices that are installed where an alternate charging system provides power to keep battery charged. Other than this issue Ive ordered 2 more of the temperature controllers and 2 of the RPM counters for spares. If they continue to fail, I will have no other option but to find another product that will preform and last.

Good product
I use it to keep airflow behind my garage fridge and stand up freezer. I set it for 90 degrees and it cycles like it should. i live in south Florida and the garage gets hot in the summer

Does not work
It is rare for me to write a review but this product was so bad I thought some feedback would be helpful. Long story short, the controller does not work. I installed the first one and the relay never turned on the load. I requested it be replaced. I installed the second one and it did not work either. In addition, none of the settings could be adjusted. In both instances, there was no problem returning the items. It seems that maybe they know they have a defective product but model their business on knowing many people will not bother to return the defective product because of its low price point. I strongly recommend not wasting your time with this temperature controller.

Works for projects that need temperature control
I used this product for a fridge/freezer cooler. I like the dual display, the set temperature and the actual reading. I dislike the screw connectors which do not hold the wires. The sixteen gauge wire (for the amperage) is stiff and pulls free. The connectors have no teeth to "grip" the strands. When a product has "20 amp" ability - the connectors should back that up. I got so frustrated at the "Whack a mole" of getting 3 wires in and having one pull free as I am trying to get the last wire in - I soldered them to the connectors. I prefer solder connections.

Buy This One, But Buy It HERE!
I have bought these controls from two, different dealers. The units I purchased here came with EXCELLENT, illustrated instructions that are written in plain English. Better still, they all worked. The other source were no instructions and some had bad LED displays with blanked elements. Stay happy, buy here!
