OFM Table Computer Desk, 55, Driftwood

The OFM Core Collection 55" Desk is a quite decent product and a very good value for the money.The legs and support frame for the desktop and legs are metal. The legs are bent and welded sheet metal. Welds are good, but not great, although they are finished smooth and all the metal pieces have a quality paint finish. The frame that supports the desktop and that the legs attach have sheet metal runners with solid metal ends. There is a threaded, plastic covered leveler included for each leg The desktop appears to be lightweight, hollow core plywood and is covered with a textured plastic laminate. The laminate is very well finished (trimmed) but has a roughish textured finish that doesn't lend itself to writing directly onto a single sheet of paper. The desktop seems to be thinner than one would expect but a thicker top is unnecessary as the metal frame provides all the support one would want in a thicker top.Assembling the desk wasn't particularly difficult but (as in the case of most flat-pack furniture) it is necessary to leave the hardware a but loose until everything is threaded into place to assure all is aligned. The bolts are all socket head and the required Allen wrenches are included.While bolting on the legs I did have some difficulty getting the bolts to thread into the holes tapped into the leg crossmembers. It appears that the holes were tapped before the sheet metal was bent to form the shape of the legs which distorted the threaded holes. This wasn't fatal but it would be very easy to cross thread the bolts in the holes.Overall the desk is well designed and constructed well worth the price.

This desk is the best I’ve ever owned. Hands down.It came a little over packaged but had no damage or issues when shipped. The styrofoam was a bit excessive (tons of little pieces and two big panels the size of the desk) but I guess that’s to be expected to prevent damage.Setup was pretty easy, some of the bolts took some finagling to get in but once out together, this desk is incredibly sturdy. It’s not too heavy for a grown man to lift or move either so it can be repositioned pretty easily. It included the tools to put it together.The finish on the desk is nice. It seems to hold up well to condensation from drinks and even spills. It’s very stylish and has a nice wood texture to it. The edges are smooth with no flaking or chipping.Fantastic purchase, and I would happily buy another! Great value for money.

After assembly, I noticed a manufacturing issue with a small area defect to the left of the desk. Because my equipment was arriving I needed this table and it didn't matter. Otherwise would have returned it.Too late. It was the Maple finish.........Its sturdy work well with my (2) monitors and other docking station. The downside to an online large purchases.It was a great value for the price.

Bought this desk because the one my college provided wasn't that great: I wanted something that was wider and had space to really move my legs around if I wanted to. This desk is perfect on all fronts: it is large enough to store everything I need, it is sleek and modern enough to fit into the look of my dorm, and most of all it is sturdy as a rock and does not have any wobble or wear. The biggest thing I appreciate is the fact that despite heavy use, the paint does not peel like other desks, so it's durable as well. If you're questioning, I'd pull the trigger. Honestly this is probably the best value desk for this price point.

I have been using a folding table for almost two years and decided I needed something a little better. This fit the bill. It was package well. It is sturdy and it was very easy to put together. It was just a bit shorter than others and that is why I ordered it. I needed the perfect height.

I really like this desk. It came with one small/minor ding in the plastic coating, but tbh it wasn't worth the hassle of exchange and risking worse when I really needed a desk. It looks great, super sturdy... kinda difficult to assemble alone due to the weird angles you have to hold the heavy metal. The screws/hardware are surprisingly cheap compared to the rest of the piece. If it weren't for the damage, it would be a 5 star desk.

Great quality table. Directions was very easy to follow, except one hole in the center didn’t align properly. No matter how hard you pull or adjust, it will not align so that part wasn’t screwed in. (*the 4 stars)Other than that, the quality, price, and sturdiness makes up for it. I have one laptop, a monitor, keyboard, desk organizer, and picture frames on it with no issues. Very beautiful desk. I love it!

Ordered this desk for my work from home setup. The desk arrived promptly and was packaged extremely well. It was very easy to put together (took about 15 minutes tops) and is able to support a monitor arm stand with 2 monitors attached, a laptop, and much more! One thing to note is that the desk is pretty heavy, so you'll need someone else to help you carry it and potentially assemble it. Highly recommend investing in this desk if you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing, yet sturdy addition to your home!
