Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

The media could not be loaded. So I have naturally very flat hair, which is frustrating because my hair is thick and course making it hard to get lasting volume regardless of how much back combing or product I use. I thought I had tried everything until I randomly saw texturizing spray at ulta and started doing research. I ultimately settled on this spray, but ordered the smaller size because it is pricey and I wasn’t super confident it was worth the investment. Let me tell you what, I am mind blown with how good this texturizing spray works. It is not sticky and doesn’t make your hair stiff, but by some magic gives tons of added volume! The best part is that it lasts ALL DAY!!! I will say I am not a huge fan of the smell, but it’s light and doesn’t last so it’s not going to stop me from reordering! The only down side is that does shorten the time you can go between washes, but it is well worth the added volume in my book. If you are on the fence because this is not a returnable product (like I was), take the plunge! This is a game changer for all you flat hair girlies like me!

I have been using it for a long time and I love this product. It gives volume, softness, and shine to my hair. It was a little expensive but it was worth it. Just use to for your final touch up and you will love the softness and the smell as well.One of the best products available in the market and smells good too. I have been using this for well over five years and I love it, can't complain. It adds volume to your hair. I use it as finishing touch to get rid of the flyaways. It's soft on the hair and it adds shine too. I recommend to use it as a hair spray and it's way better. Makes your hair look so natural and beautiful. I am very particular with hair products and I found this product to be a so useful for dry and unmanageble hair.

I have super thin, blah hair and I wanted volume! (I've wanted it for my whole life and as I've gotten older-and my hair more and more thin- boy has VOLUME been as elusive as the loch ness monster!)So I saw a note in Glamour magazine about this product and did some research about this company and this product in particular- it had good reviews everywhere I looked so I purchased this smaller bottle to test it out and WOW. Instant thickening and volume!Definitely gets you extra volume and 'umph'. It really and truly does make me think I have 'extra' hair when I run my hands through it afterwards.Still trying to get my technique down- but I basically watched a couple you-tube videos and followed along. One thing I haven't quite mastered is how to get the crown of my head to have extra volume using this product- the shaft and ends have great volume now- but can't get the top of my head yet!I will say that this small bottle went quick for me so I'm not sure if I'm using too much- I don't think I am but this bottle literally lasted me less than a week! :( I just purchased the 8.5oz bottle and recieved it- so hopefully it lasts longer than 4 weeks (because it is pricey!).One other note is that it did dry out my hair. Not quite brittle- but not soft and supple either. But the extra volume is worth that to me so to each their own. I truly think if you are looking for volume that you should at least give it a try.I am a big fan of this product and it SMELLS AMAZING! I literally sit at my desk all day sniffing my hair- it's a little disturbing but the smell is phenomenal! :)

UPDATE: The bottle has become easier to spray, possibly because there's less product in it now? But now that I've used it a few times, this stuff is pretty great.*It smells better than the Garnier stuff (but still smells. Why? Why can't we get products like this unscented? I hate smelling fake florals everytime I turn my head).*This is probably not news to people who are familiar with different styling products, but it is like some weird dry shampoo/ hairspray hybrid that sticks to each individual hair. It actually does what it says: gives my slippery fine hair texture and volume. It's so weird when a beauty product does what it says it will.*It lasts a long time. It doesn't seem to come out with brushing or sleeping. But I can brush my hair and it remains effective.*It works better than the many dry shampoos I have tried. There is no visible residue, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky, it controls oil as well or better than the standard powder formulas I have tried (batiste, Aveda, etc).*It also gives me the occasional cystic acne on my neck, but basically all products that have 'particles' do that. If you are prone to that, then you can add this to the list of things that will probably do that. It's still worth it.Original review:The product itself seems interesting. It's the first texturizer I've used and it does seem to provide volume in fine straightish hair in an interesting way that allows brushing and movement, lasts for a long time, and keeps the oil down.That being said, I had to hold the can in two hands and press down with a finger from each hand in order to get any product out of the can. This was on first use, so there was no possible clogging from prior use. The dispenser top is ridiculously stiff and hard to press down. As a result, I wasn't able to apply the product as precisely as I wanted, because I had to use both hands just to dispense it in the general direction of my head. Maybe the larger bottle is less poorly manufactured?For this amount of money, it should dispense easily and flawlessly with the use of one average human hand. I suggest they spend a tiny portion of their profit on a better dispenser.
