Lunkerhunt Popping Frog Fishing Lure

Yes, the legs on all of the Lunkerhunt frogs will tear pretty easily, the hooks sometimes pierce the sides of the frog, and water intrusion can cause them to sink if not retrieved relatively steadily (I actually sometimes like the action when it goes under) BUT the realistic look and action on their frogs is AWESOME and in nearby lily pad filled Florida waters they draw big strikes from big bass. So why 2 stars for the popping frog? Because it is MUCH tougher to pull through cover than the sleeker lip profile on the regular lunkerhunt frogs. The concave popping lip surface leads it to easily getting hung up in pads and while it's easy enough to dislodge it with a hard jerk (with heavy braid line), it ends up defeating the purpose of the weedless hook design and makes it nearly impossible to work slowly through thick cover. Only had the patience to fish it in heavy cover for about 10 minutes before I switched back to a regular lunkerhunt frog.I do plan on keeping them to pop them slowly along the OUTSIDE edge of cover and guessing they''ll do a decent job in that application... but for versatility sake, future purchases will be back to the standard sleeker lip profile Lunkerhunt frog.

the bass nailed them, but the hook up rate is low. learn to adjust your hooks on these. no frog is ready to fish out of the box

I've only used this once but I spent half my time squeezing water out of it. Not worth the trouble, IMO. There are better options out there.

Gotta bend the hooks for them to set better otherwise you won't be able to land any bass

Literally every frog I have bought broke the 1st day either the legs or the hooks put holes in the sides and now none of them work. I just bought three more to try again and guess what first cast the frogs leg flew off just great. Needless to say I've wasted money on the second order

its okay but i think a different color would have produced better.

This is my 4th lunkerhunt frog and every single one gets a hole in it and fills up with water which you have to squeeze out literally after every cast if you want it to float.....this one was punctured on the first cast...will not be purchasing another lunkerhunt frog again

Make sure u get right size... Bass love em....at least here in the Midwest they do.

Unless it’s the high heat of day this frog has been smashed every trip out. Had to open the hooks a bit but other than that it works great.
