Deep SteepSugar Scrub, Passion Fruit Guava, 8 Ounce

This was great, really my favorite body scrub for what is in it and what is not! However please use caution when using this. It leaves a warmed oil all over your tub or shower floor. This is to be expected with what the ingredients are. I love that it is not too much, and the fragrance isn’t overwhelming or fake. Especially helpful and refreshing if you dry out in the drier seasons. Just warn who ever might be heading in after you.

I've been fortunate to have surprisingly soft skin throughout my life. Still, I find there are times (especially during the winter months) when my skin gets dryer and slightly rougher. After the first time I used this, my hands felt as though they were gardenia petals. They have been so soft that I'm truly surprised I'm not caressing complete strangers. Yes, there is a bit of oil, but that gets absorbed by the skin within a couple of minutes. I haven't (yet) tried it on my face, but I likely will at some point. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the smell isn't what I was expecting. While it doesn't smell bad -- and it's very subtle -- it's really not like vanilla. If anything, I feel it smells like the cereal bowl after morning breakfast, with a kind of milky-sugary sweetness. I'll still be keeping this in stock.

Pros: The product came on time and nicely packaged. Once opened, it had a very light tropical scent.This is where the positives ended for me.Cons: It was the consistency of Vaseline with an extremely fine grit sandpaper mixed in. I have occasionally dry skin, but definitely not extremely dry skin. This might be good for those who do. After scrubbing it all over myself I realized none of it was rinsing off and anything I touched install became basically waterproof because of the residue on my hands. It took me three neck to toe passes with my normal body wash to not feel like a greased pig. I threw it away in my bathroom trash while I was still in the shower. Not for me...

I love the Deep Steep Shea scrubs. It has the right amount of “scrub” to remove dead skin and the right amount of Shea for lasting moisture. You don’t have to use anything after you finish your in-shower treatment.There were no issues with the packaging. Mine arrived sealed with plastic wrap on the outside (I forgot to take the picture) , a seal that I had to break (pictured here), and full product (- the scratches I made taking off the seal).

Gorgeous smell and consistency. Leaves a soft (not tacky) coating after shower (where I use it). I love Deep Steep's smells, in general, and this one, too. I use lotion, butter, and oil, as well, as weather, time, etc. call for. This product is particularly good for deep winter (the smell is winter appropriate, as it is cozy and home-y) and it leaves a layer of moisture. Great product by a great (small) company !

Here is the deal. Yes, it does feel greasy, but it soaks in and is great to do for the face before bed. I take a shower and use this on my face, it takes a bit of rubbing to dissolve the sugar scrub on the face and then I rinse it off. No, the moisturizers don't wash away, they stay on, but if you go to sleep with it on your face, it soaks into the skin and plumps up the face wonderfully. I was actually hesitant to use this as a 40 yr. old woman who still gets prone to break outs, but my husband was using it and his face was so supple. I am glad I did, it keeps my face really moisturized and my skin looks really good. I use this and then follow up with a light moisturizer. Really, don't be scared off by the initial greasy feel.

This is my favorite body scrub ever. All my friends always ask how my skin looks so soft and smooth. I used to buy this at Whole Foods but I guess they don’t carry it anymore. I hope Deep Steep never stops making this stuff! This is the only body scrub I’ve ever found that I can use after shaving my legs and doesn’t irritate my skin. And my skin is sensitive. I can’t even put lotion on after I shave my legs, but I can use this and my skin loves it!

3.5 stars.The product is densely packed in there. Lightly fragranced. Doesn't really stick with you out of the shower (which I was hoping for).The granules give you about 20secs of scrubbing time (max). I feel a bit silly thinking it would've lasted longer than that. I assumed there would be other particles in there to facilitate the scrubbing aspect. My last body scrub let me scrub for much longer and I'd walk out of the shower with noticeably smoother skin, which is the kinda effect I wanted here.The oils are pretty thick, and so they leaves greasy feel behind. If you have dry skin in need of TLC, it's a reassuring feeling. You don't have to moisturize after using this. Don't use it on a date night -- doesn't make for silky caressing. Maybe the night before.OVERALL: Decent product. Would not buy again. I'd rather try something else. Something more in line with my preferences.

This invigorating scrub has a gorgeous fruity scent and leaves a hint of oil on your skin (obviously more or less depending on how thick you rub it on).
