Q: Why doesn't the description list all the ingredients? I want to be sure it doesn't include any guar gum or similar ingredient

Hummm. A little truth in advertising problem here. Here is the listing on the can. Ingredients: Coconut Extract, Water, Citric Acid (as antioxidant), Sodium Metabisulfite (as preservative).

Q: Has anyone seen Chaokoh cans with patterned indentations all around? It is clearly intentional, but I have never seen it before.

We last bought it in March 2023. This crushing/indentation of the cans has been an ongoing issue. This time we ended up throwing out a few of the most crushed cans as they look like the liner might be broken and keeping the rest. Prior to that we had a couple of shipments that were so we wouldn't use any of them but Amazon refunded those. It was the best Coconut milk on the market so would love to keep buying it. If anyone sees this issue fixed please post an updated answer to this question.

there is a white box on the can labeled Nutrition Facts: Total carbohydrate 2g, Total Sugars 2g

Q: Will amazon continue selling this item? today's news carried a story about the company (theppadungporn coconut co. ltd) is using forced monkey labor.

A look online shows "26,000 stores including chains Wegmans, Food Lion and Stop & Shop have cut ties with the coconut milk brand." Those stores continue to carry meat and dairy so, despite what Daniel Krippene tells himself to justify his purchases, it obvioulsy cannot be equated with the type animal labor that is generally accepted in the food chain. Stores BY THE THOUSANDS are cutting ties. Amazon should, too.
