Excellent, great sound and a great looker
You receive a vintage style DAB radio, looks are very traditional in the vintage sense.Build quality is very good, it is a hard plastic cabinet with the wood effect patina. The DAB display is clear and easy to read, to tune you use the right rotary dial, this will let you auto tune, or you can go through your presets, push the dial and it will connect to your station. Its mains powered, no battery operation.Sound quality is good, its not amazing, but I thought it was as good as any radio of this type I’d heard.I really like this, thought the design very vintage and traditional, like the functions and thought the sound was perfectly okay.

It was broken
I had to send this back as the function button was broked and sound quality was not the best ...shame as its a nice looking radio but i feel its a little overpriced.

broken when it arrived-looked ok but very poor quality...
was very sad to see the image is great but to touch it gave all the secrets of scrimping on production.. no volume and when you tried to tune it shut off... poor poor choice.. went for a name brand DAB radio retro look as well and can say I WAS NOT disappointed at all.

Disappointed at the unit supplied
Well. What can I say. This is a "GPO" Winchester DAB radio that has 30 preset DAB and 30 preset FM stations if you want, with an auxiliary input 3.5mm jack so you can play another device like a Walkman or Discman through it.The sound quality is good with a good fat sound enhanced by the composite wood casing. From the look of the beast its modelled after an old "Cossor" set although half the size! The display is the way I like it, white on yellow - I've had bad experiences with white on blue DAB sets which have left me against such displays. The controls are easy to use, you have the push buttons you see in the picture and two knobs. Left hand volume twiddle and push in/out for on/off Right hand twiddle tunes station frequency on FM, runs through scanned stations on DAB and push in/out to SELECT that DAB station. So why three stars?? Simply put I don't think the set I got to review was 100%. I admire the marketing claim in the picture "designed in the UK" (HUZZA!!) although as you would expect the label on the back of the set says Made in China so its not that.Take a look at the other photo. The display glass and display itself is crooked in the case. Forgiveable. What is not is that the Function push button (although I'm certain it was OK at first) selects DAB, then FM, then Aux Input....and THAT IS THAT without going to Menu (RH button) and Factory Resetting!!The Sleep button worked well and easily - default is off, then 15,30,45 minutes. The Scan button does precisely what it says, this set seems to need a good signal but gave me far more stations than I knew were there... Gaydio, Angel, Forces....but so many that I didn't have the BBC stations bar 3 counties London and Kent. I, I can live with that, it might be because I'm in London after all. And there are only so many slots in the sets memory....I've stored preset stations but haven't got the hang of recalling them yet....The date and time as might be expected were automatic and were it not that I suspect the buttons aren't performing entirely as in the book....Yes I have RTFM and its not a help, although it comes in many languages and on receipt was sealed in a plastic bag.The set runs from a small PSU that came with UK pins and an easily exchangeable set of Euro pins.I think this set is a nice novelty item that certainly sounds good and is easy to use and set up. But its let down by the irritating faults. I think I prefer my PURE Classic even though the controls are more complex. This one will serve the kitchen well though.RECOMMENDED with RESERVATIONS
