New Ray WWII Fighter Plane Model Kit

This seems like a cool little airplane I bought it for my four-year-old son to play with. Now that I have it in hand I feel that it may be a little bit fragile for what I had in mind. But due to the low cost of the airplane that does not bother Me Too Much knowing that I will probably end up broken. If you're going to use that for a desk or in an office it may lack a little detail.

The instructions are not very clear. Some difficulty to get everything line up. Especially the landing gear

The airplane looks just like on the picture. It's got a very shiny silver coating. The wings in the back are a little defective. They are two separate pieces that go inside the tail. When I adjust the right wing the left falls out and vise versa. My husband will need to figure out how to fix that issue. The little black display stand is not sturdy enough. It's leaning on one side always, so even if I wanted to set the airplane on it, it would not stand like it shows on the picture.

My young son enjoys these model kits. It’s a nice looking model. These kits don’t make museum quality models. However, they are fun to build, and not too difficult to assemble (with assistance) by kids who are too young for more complicated models. Comes with a nice paint job, the propeller spins, landing gear goes up & down. Glue is still needed, otherwise some parts will pull out. The finished product can be played with, but it’s plastic and will break if dropped on hard surfaces or with rough use.

I have purchased 2 other similar model WWII planes and have not run into any issues. With this plane, the tail fins, landing gear and landing gear plates did not fit together so I had to cut off sections and glue others. These parts were supposed to snap in place. Furthermore, the kit was supposed to include a piece to hold the prop and it was missing so we had to file the prop and had to hit it with a hammer so it wouldn't sag. The assembly took much longer than it should have and required many tools. On the positive side, the kit arrived on time.

This was a beautiful model, I really liked that it was painted already, constructing it was very easy and was completed in less than 1 hour, I proudly display this model on my office desk and get compliments for it constantly.

My 16 year old son asked me to purchase this model plane for a school project. Luckily he only needed it for one day. The holes didn’t line up with the screws. He got pretty frustrated so he decided to super glue it together. Don’t buy this if your child wants to keep it for any period of time. I wasn’t expecting it to be amazing for the price but, I figured the holes should line up.
