5 years strong, will buy again.
I bought this to build a DYI CO2 chamber. It works great and very pleased with it. It is still going strong after 5 years. Please note, if your building a CO2 chamber to always inspect all parts for leaks before and after use. Make sure you know how to use one first. It's ease to use, really good value and fit like it needed to be.

Used as CO2 Flowmeter
This piece is a popular choice for CO2 setups by small animal hobbyists according to the AVMA approved methods for humane dispatch. I find the LPM measurements to be very easy to read as someone unfamiliar with the traditional uses (welding). Most issues have, in my experience, been user error:i.e, misplacing the small plastic washer intended to seal the connection between the regulator and the tank, inappropriate use of gas/thread tape [it is not needed on this part], failing to tighten the connectionproperly with hand tools, failing to level the piece before use [mistakenly tilted forwards or backwards]Looking closely at the different (and often differently priced!) listings for this item online, you will soon find that this is a case of drop-shipping and mass production! This review will apply across a variety of products.

Works pretty good
This regulator ices up pretty fast in colder weather and you can't read it very well. Maybe two minutes of welding and it's frozen. It is still working but it looks horrible. My old pressure gauge style took 15 minutes to freeze up and the pressure would start climbing. So I do like this one better. Maybe I have to move the gas bottle to a warmer area to use. (I'm outside)

Exactly as pictured, description is harder to interpret
This regulator came in good molded packaging inside a dedicated box so it was not damaged in shipment. I was replacing a leaky regulator which would cost more to fix than this new one cost to buy. I needed a barbed fitting to fit a 5/16" hose so I had a good idea that it would work for me, and it does. With the collar nut unscrewed I noted that the barb connector has a ball on the other end, so it might accept some other type of fitting like the name-brand welders have. Most of the complaints seem to be from people who have had problems directly attaching their fancy hoses. I thought people with fancy welders used expensive mixed gas and not cheap CO2 like me with my cheap welder. My advice, if you can't get your hose to attach, cut the end off and push it on the barbed connector, or buy an expensive regulator from a welding store. This flow gauge works, the adjustment is smooth and I have no leaks. It is exactly what I needed. Highest recommendation!

Works great!
I am using this flowmeter regulator for a co2 chamber to humanely cull small animals. It works very well, and I’m very pleased with it!Note: the fitting that you connect a hose to comes off and comes with the regulator it just isn’t on the regulator when it comes in
