Designed well for its purpose
I ordered a medium of this item since I’m a size 8 and it fits comfortably, with a bit of room at the tip of my toes. The Velcro straps can be used for the left or right foot and the long narrow one can be cut to whatever length you need. The Velcro is strong and holds your foot in place, and the toe box is wide and sturdy so it protects your foot even if you stub it against something. I highly recommend this product.

Doctor said it was fancy
The doctor really loved it wanted to know where I got it told her Amazon she said it was better than the ones they sell at the medical supply store good for price it's comfortable and where's good

Good buy though sized wrong
I am a size 5.5 to 6 in women's and the xsmall fit me exactly with no bandaging just a sock. The shoe has several Velcro closures to adjust for comfort. My foot feels comfortable and secure.

Great surgical shoe but hard for me to get tight
I have a chronic wound on my foot so have worn the Darco brand before. They work well but for me they have to be tight or my foot rotates. It is hard for me to tighten both sides at once.I remember from past shoes the fabric will wear rather quickly. I would definitely recommend the toe insert to help with that. I saw them on Amazon but did not pay attention since I already had one. The toe insert will define the front of the shoe and give it some rigidity. The insert will also provide some support and safety for you toes.As for comfort this shoe will get you where you want to go. I don't know about driving with it. You wouldn't want to hike to far with it.

Half the price as same from podiatrist.
This is a great shoe at a great price; nearly half the cost of the SAME shoe from the doctor's office! The closed toe is a work necessity for me; my toes need to be covered. My only complaint is the strap across the ankle to secure the shoe it must have been sized for somebody with extremely swollen feet! You need to put the velcro, instead of just the very end of the strap, goinabout three inches back along the strap so it can be cut to length. Right now if you cut it to length, you don't have the velcro! My solution was to fold it back onto itself and have a long loop hanging off. It works.

It is wayyyyyy too big, make sure you order a size down or it isn't going to fit.
