Steel Sweat offers top quality for half the price!
I've been an elite powerlifter for years. This sport is not for the meek. One wrong move and you can be out for months. The last thing you want to think about during a heavy lift is equipment failure. Problem is great equipment is very expensive or it use to be...but not anymore! This Steel Sweat weightlifting belt is as sturdy and durable as belts twice its price, and as a side benefit, it looks great! Highly recommended regardless of strength and skill level. Here's a little secret: to tighten the belt around you waist in prep for a heavy lift, lay down on your back, on a flat bench, then adjust buckle for a nice snug fit.

Excellent affordable choice!
Excellent product for heavy lifters, especially for squat and deadlift. I rated it 3 of 5 for comfort because - let’s face it - it’s a 10mm thick 4 inch wide stiff leather belt. What do you expect? If you’ve got significant belly fat (as I do at the moment, but hopefully not for much longer!) it can pinch on deep squats and deadlifts. This is not exactly a design flaw, just a something you have to live with while using such a heavy-duty product. Making sure it’s in the proper position certainly helps with comfort, as does being less fat! (That’s a self-debasing joke, btw. Not trying to hurt any feelings.)I find it to be very comparable to other much more expensive belts I researched. It’s significantly less expensive than the Rogue brand product, but seems to be VERY similar in terms of design and efficacy. I’ve been using it on heavy lift days for several weeks, and while it has been gaining more flexibility as I break it in (which is good and proper), all indications are that this belt should last a VERY long time. Heavy duty stitching, thick leather, strong metal hardware.... it’s simple and bulletproof. The rolling sleeve on the buckle helps with adjustments, and I like the fact that the rivets have the ability to be tightened with a flathead screw driver, though I’ve had no need to do so yet. This is NOT the belt for casual gym-goers or for those who lift relatively light weight. Nylon or other lighter-duty more comfortable belts would be a better choice in those contexts. But if you want to go for max weight on squat and deadlift in the hundreds of pounds, this is a great belt to increase internal abdominal pressure and maximize your power output.

You simply can't get any better for the money
Been in the lifting game for 35 years, and no stranger to equipment and supplements in the same, so, simply put, this belt is the best-value-for-the-price piece of equipment I have ever owned. Doubtless, "better" is available, for 3 times the price, but the difference in quality and usability is essentially negligible (for all except "professional" competitive powerlifters, who actually do this for a living). I just got the belt and have only used it a couple of times, so the jury's still out on the "durability" factor; I gave it 5 stars anyway, as a projection based on the clear quality construction and materials, and quite simply how it "feels" when in use. Also, take the advice about going a size UP rather than down, if you're on the borderline between sizes - I usually wear a medium in all things, currently bulking and measuring 34-35" through the waist, and the large-size of this belt fits perfectly, right in the middle of the buckling range when "cranked down" (admittedly, I lift in a heavy hoody, belt over, so that may have some influence as well).

Top tier quality and a great price
This thing is extremely high quality for the price. It is reasonably well broken in and flexible straight out of the box. The mechanism is sturdy, the stitching is strong, and the leather is high quality and dense. It’s confortable to wear right away, easy to get on and off, and lends great support for breathing/bracing.I’m immensely impressed by this belt, it compares to some of the top of the line stuff for a fraction of the cost. It’s no wonder every review is 5 stars!Edit: my measurement as per the instructions was 38 inches so I ordered large (35-40), it fit right in the middle prong, so sizing is pretty accurate

A Good Choice For Intermediate Weightlifters
Pretty well made for the price. I can tell that it'll probably wear out in about 4-5 years, but its definitely one of the better quality belts compared to other similarly priced ones in its range. Unless you're using this thing every day and just utterly putting it through the ringer it should hold up with normal use. The rivets look like they could use a little bit of an upgrade. They don't seem as up to snuff as the rest of it. Other than that you're not going to find one much better unless you're looking to spend close to $100 or more for one.

Excellent belt, non-existent customer service.
Owned this belt for 20 days now, using it on multiple heavy sets on each workout. It's held up so far, only lightly scuffed from regular use and covered in chalk. If you have a short torso like myself, then the belt may dig into hips if you place it too low during any movement that requires hip flexion. My only gripe is that I contacted customer service in order to get information required to register the belt and they never got back to me, at all. Good product though...

Sweet, sweet lower back support
I used to use the loaner belt at my gym but was forced to buy this when they remodeled and I was forced to use another gym in the short term. This is much thicker than the loaner I started with and gives EXCELLENT support. Squats and deadlifts never felt so good (relatively). I will echo some of the comments about the sizing. I was on the border and got the bigger size and the lowest notch fits reals nice. If I cut though, I might have to add a smaller hole to keep things tight.

Nice belt
Nice belt, needs to be broken in. Had a problem with the belt buckle prong. The end of the prong that goes through the holes in the belt had a rough jagged end. Making it hard to put it through the hole when you’re trying to tighten the belt. The jagged end would get caught on the outer layer of the belt when trying to put it through the hole. I spent about a 1/2 hour filing it to a rounded end to make this task easier. Too early to tell on durability.5 day shipping including the Fourth of July holiday.

That belt is quite sturdy and look good. It is also made of high quality leather!
This belt helped with my lower back pain tremendously and also with my confidence levels. I recommend this product and I will update this review if there is an issue. The belt was never uncomfortable when squatting with 250lbs.I don't see any cons.
